Also this was well written by Laura C. :
Good. Go and have fun. Better use of time than writting and reading in this thread I guess. I just hope you won´t return with "lawfuls in house shot me down, that is not fair, I was unarmed cap, change the rules" qq...

Implying there won't be any noticeable difference between a pirating trying to solo-shoot a transport and a pirate trying to solo-shoot a capital ship.

No atmosphere? GTFO.
The propeller is the greatest invention of all time.
How can he be sure? Because most Navy players just look for any excuse to shoot someone, they do a two line RP then engage, have fun with that, not only will two pirate bombers take you out pretty quickly when you have 0 guns, you'll have the Navy on your tail too.

This is what I mean by missing the point. I'm not talking about the definition of the word. I'm talking about what's required for something to qualify for the rule definition of "trade ship".
Trade ships are supposed to be vulnerable to piracy - which is why they have docking as a "win condition" instead of dying.
If something is not vulnerable to piracy, then it should not get this rule exception, either.
Light fighters aren't pirateable either, and they're not treated as trade ships either.
Well this went on for far too long. The exception is intended for trade vessels while trading. Capital ships are not trade vessels just because you can trade in them.
