What about giving some special option for the new engines?

They can use fuel too and should give 400 speed for short time while using H-fuel or something like that.

It could be another option to escape/flee from combats.

How about instead of fuel (because some people still use cloaks), it drains your entire powercore, and has a longer time until your powercore can recharge? Oh, and it disables stuff like docking and jumping for about 30 seconds...
