Hey folks, I was wondering where do people get ship images for the signatures, and I'm not talking about regular ones like from wiki or ingame, but I've noticed a lot of people have like model of the ships in signature ?
How does one get that ? Or export it from the game ?

While I can't remember for the life of me where the thread is (hint hint, someone link it please) which explains the process...it's possible to download 3D rendering programs such as Bryce3D and a couple of others which use the ship files from the game (imported at your leisure) to create effective 3D models of the ships which can then be exported into your artwork.
Or you can set your hide hud hotkeys and use turret mode with a hidden hud to get your camera right, then take screenshots using the printscreen button. If you do it this way you will have to cut the ship renders from the screenshot. Easy to do if you have photoshop or gimp. Only thing about using turret mode for screenshots is your guns will all be trying to face backwards when you are setting up your screenshot. Soo to counteract this unfortunate debacle you could sell all your guns take the shot then reequip your ship.

I'll try to find it, thanks for the info.

Or un-equip then re-equip, but no they don't look as pretty as the models I see people exporting for their sigs.
