I do not want to start another zonerzonerzoner cry topic so I'll refrain on commenting whether the change is good or not, however I am interested in how this planned change to Zoner Capital Ships will be presented on the RP 24/7 server and what can we expect.
Information about upcoming Zoner changes were presented to the general public a week ago. Since then Aerelm has mentioned that the solution is being discussed with the possibility to create a thread where people would be refunded.
I politely asked whether it would be possible to put the link to said thread on the main page so it wouldn't be missed by casual players who don't have the time to check a 50-pages long thread every day to find out if any decision has been made for the RP 24/7 server.
To this day I have not been given any answer and NOTHING has been said by the RP 24/7 server Admins. I do understand that you need time to discuss the problem, but a week has passed and you are still keeping us in the dark. I know that your friends and people who have your Skype probably already know everything there is to know about the upcoming change, but would it be possible to share it with us, the unworthy general audience as well?

My, Tyro, you think it'll take but a few days for this? Yes, we're admins but we also have real lives and real jobs. If you want to come work on my helos, sometimes on a moment's notice, I'll sit on my computer and do nothing but talk, talk, talk.
Not too mention, when the admins are talking with developers, co-ordinating isn't always easy.
You called yourself unworthy, not us. Please, this issue won't be fixed by rushing it.

So basically after a week, nothing has changed and no one is willing to sit down to the keyboard and write a few words to the general community that would basically sum up what you just said (nothing new, but we are working on it) and specify in which way you will inform the community of the progress so that casual players who don't have time for Forum-lancing won't miss whatever decision is made unless I bug him to.

The future of the ships is a Development matter. Any remuneration that may or may not occur is an Administration matter. When Dev matters are completed, only then can Admins finalise their policy.
The next mod update is Update 6, and the Zoner ship changes are not going to be implemented until Update 7 at the earliest. Don't expect a final announcement on the matter too soon, as there is plenty of time.
