Nomad 'tag'

Recently I was chased by a Zoner, who claimed I was a Nomad. He said I had a Nomad 'tag.'
People in game said I would not be able to see this tag, if I had it.

Others in the system said only an admin can turn you into a Nomad.

After a 254k chase, I let him scan me, and he saw my Trader ID card. This seemed to perplex everyone.

When docking with Kyushu, I lost connection, and, after the Nomad tag thing happed I logged off. My FL main menu screen was black (no spacescape in the background).


Anyway, I'm not a jelly-head, nor would I like to be one. I have never interacted with admins, Nomads, or the Order since joining Discovery. I'd hate to be shot for a misunderstanding.

It's a bug that happens on occasion, i.e. you see tag the character doesn't really have. Not that it affects said character actual reputation (if someone got that bug they're still hostile to nomads). Call it a bug in IFF systems... I'd roleplay something as funny as that.:P

Seen that a couple of times. Imagine my surprise watching liberty cruiser heading on you with nomad tag. Figured lately that it was just me seeing it and not anyone else around me. Peekaboo!

I am familiar with this bug, as I see something related to it almost every time I play. In every case, the player in question has no real tag, and the tag I see doesn't show the expected colors on my HUD. Landing and reloading my character usually clears up the glitch.

Unfortunately, not everyone is aware of this bug and they may jump to the wrong conclusion, even if things seem odd.

Zoner ID, not trader ID yes?

Zoner ID allows any class of ship.

Some sort of special roleplay, it can't hurt. Corsair Cruiser isn't PVP good, compared to the Zoner Destroyer.
