Wings can be removed, y'know =P I just figured if you're running around with a bunch of hazardous waste you'd want to protect the tanks from being ruptured by hostile fire or asteroids/scrap.
Also keep in mind these arent freelancer textures, because I dont have access to freelancer textures (3dsm cant import them). The model is what you should be looking at, not the texture job =P
This is by far the most constructive feedback that I have ever witnessed.
Given the universal appeal of the CSV in certain environments I would consider the idea of adopting that vessel's cockpit. The containers could lose the radiation sign and I would suggest researching Rheinlandish engine reactor philosophy.
It's an interesting first step and the more freighters the better, but it seems to be a few steps shy of being a convincing Rheinland vessel.
why, this ship count among the funniest I ever saw.
The list include, but is not limited, to the Marsflyer and someone' attempt at modelling an escape pod.
that things makes me think of a green car (construction car due to the blinking yellow light) with a huge muzled mouth and nuclear bomb attached to its side ready to blow up any time.
Neither points above nearing the look of any shiplines in Freelancer, unfortunately.
I actually kinda liked it:$
The idea is great in itself and the ship suits the utility feel but as Xing said, doesn't look like any of the current shiplines. Which isn't a bad thing sometimes but personal opinion methinks.
Gotta love how people who have never posted their own models here run around scrutinizing other people's work.
Everyone has opinions, man. Just listen, and filter out what you feel is useful criticism.
Personally, I find the body to be a bit oddly shaped. I'd say try to look at other Rheinland designs, and take a few of the common details to add to your ship. For example, Rheinland ships are usually rather blockier, rectangular, and constructed more vertically than horizontally. Perhaps turn it on it's side and make the top and bottom a bit more squared? Also, if you do that, then add a bit of bulk to the middle, I'd say.
Right now it... wow... it actually looks like some sort of futuristic cop car with huge missile launchers attatched... I only just noticed that...
