I am Mio Akiyama 3IC of Freeport 11, the Acting Administrator and next in line to lead Freeport 11. Currently our Administrators are being held hostage in Baffin. We are seeking a non-violent solution to this, and have offered the TAZ a peaceful chance to safely hand over John Douglas, Tobias Parkes and their delegations.

As per our security lockdown, with both the leader and the secondary leader away, I will take command as per their last orders.

We call on the Confederation of Freeports to use whatever power they have at their disposal to recall Administrators Douglas and Parkes.

As per standing orders in The Letters of Last Resort, Freeport 11 will be temporarily seceding from Confederation of Freeport legislation and agreements for security reasons. Our base is in lockdown.

We hope to return to the Confederacy once both our leaders are secure aboard our station.

Dear Ms. Akiyama

I think you are somewhat mistaken about the state of Freeport 11. Freeport 11 has a troubled history as the previous administrator, one Mr. Marvin, ran the Freeport with absolutely no oversight and he ran it as a dictator runs his own personal fiefdom.

When he decided to step down he placed responsibility for finding an administrator to replace him on the Confederation, as the past and present head of that organisation that meant that it came down to me and my colleagues to select an administrator.

We had to select a Freeport administrator and also make a decision about the future running of the Freeport. It was eventually decided that the master administration codes for the station would remain with the head of the Confederation and any administrator selected would only be granted limited access to the station to prevent a repeat of the situation that was present with Mr. Marvin running the Freeport.

As such I find it immensely disturbing that you have selected this time to make the attempt to cede from the Confederation and remove yourself from oversight somewhat alarming. Is it that you are seeking to use the current unrest to separate yourself from any and all oversight and once again turn Freeport 11 into a personal fiefdom?

Your continued administration privileges for the station hinge on your reply to this communique Ms. Akiyama. I would suggest that you reply posthaste.

I see that you are not here offering aid and instead concerned only with leadership. This betrays your true motivations. Not that it matters anyway.

Tobias Parkes is currently on his way as is John Douglas, so no, I won't be holding any fiefdom. I doubt they will either. Your personal feeling about John Douglas or Tobias Parkes are irrelevant. I'd also like to remind you that John Douglas is not Michal Golanski, in case you confuse the two.

I hold no delusions about "master codes" and so on and neither should you. Do you honestly think a remote Freeport would give master remote codes to anyone to betray them as they desired? Do you think they'd even make remote master codes? Press any button you want. This Freeport is currently protected from any aggressors.

Freeport 11 will soon be receiving John Douglas and Tobias Parkes like I said earlier. This was a temporary secession. I leave further decisions of Administration up to them when they return from the TAZ hostage situation.

Please don't try anything violent. A lot of people here are former Order, former BHG and former Omicroners. They've seen more war than everyone you have ever met put together. They want peace and to be left alone. If you cannot handle this, you won't like the repercussions much either.

As the two were in no danger considering that the station that they were on went in to lockdown after hostile actions taken against them by Order agents. Not taken hostage as you have stated.

What aid was I supposed to offer? To go to longtime allies and say "Well, you'd better take your station off lockdown despite the danger that that will put your civilians in because this guy wants to leave." I was never going to do that. That would be foolish in the extreme.

And there will be no contest of codes. You are removed effective immediately from any position you may hold. I will be making a sirius wide broadcast shortly.
