Allright many stories have been written up until now, many years have passed and the Vanilla Freelancer modified into a whole new perspective and point of view.
The Stories are still on going but we never were able to actually experience some of the scenes...
So here I'm calling up people that want to participiate in that. Be aware that this is not about re-acting the Vanilla FL Singleplayer (I know, I actually wanted to do those events too) but more, to involve our community into the Discovery Mods history and the on going story.
With this, I'll be writing scripts and certain Roleplays for the specific Characters in this Event. From time to time, if everything goes well, I'll continue writing more stories which more of you can participiate.
There will be Main Characters and Side Characters. So reserve your positions quick folks!
PoB's will also be added for certain checkpoints and experience.
Let's get to the story, for the start I've been thinking about a very short story which will be the "Introduction" start. My plan here is also to involve people into our RP enviroment in Discovery and help people to get a better and clear picture of how things are going lately.
Additionally people will be able to actually see how the story has been advanced and where everything stands currently. Together with this, it will add RP and PvP experience.
As for PvP, if you die, well, let's say there are gonna be a Beginner Mode and Discoverer Mode, so the Main character can kinda decide (if possible I'll try to organize specific people for the Side Characters, or people just wont go all PvP whore at ya).
Okay, hope you understood everything? Let's get to the point already:

Ice Cold California
Hal Peterson is a quasi-lawful Freelancer that spends most of his time inside California.
Once he had to escort a Convoy to Planet California Minor from Riverside Station. Mid-Lane, they had a small disturbtion. Liberty Rogues, two of them, a Bomber and a Fighter.
Hal Peterson is ordered to take them down and protect the convoy at all cost. Hal takes them out without much of a struggle, but it was strange. It didn't feel like they were Liberty Rogues, but their affiliation and ships clearly pointing it out.
The Convoy was safely brought to the Planet as Hal got an urgent message from a Liberty Police patroul. Hal was a known Freelancer around Liberty, the Police had his records and knew that they could rely on him when they needed an escort, or someone to get the job done.
Meeting up with two Liberty Police officers at Planet Los Angeles, they moved back to New York.
Hal couldn't belive his eyes. A Liberty Rogue Destroyer appeared right infront of them at the Gate.
As it seems, the Rogue Destroyer was already aware of Hal's act. This was more of a revenge of the killed Rogue Snubs. But how? Hal was confused, but they had to act fast so the two Police men flanked the Destroyer while Hal was focusing on the Core of the vessel.
Together they destroyed the 'Scylla' and moved on to Manhattan. Hal was payed on the Planet and then he departed.
What we need:
Skilled in RP, Basic Combat experience and most important following instructions well!!!
Hal Peterson (Main Character, Allowed Ships: Fighter, Bomber, Gunboat):
Well, I dare to say that scripted RP isn't going to have much of a succes. It's the freedom to RP whatever you can imagine that makes people play here. At least in my case.
In my humble opinion, you should rather just set a loose pre-set story and let people RP it as they want. By that I mean no scripted texts and tight scenarios. There'd be a loose scenario with set ''tasks'' for each actor, and story proceeds depending on each ''chapter's'' outcome.
Example:
Hal is called by LPI. They go to NY, get ambushed. If they kill the attacker, X happens, if they don't, Y happens. No scripted texts, no tight instructions and such.
But, well, that's just my opinion. Wish you luck with that.

Hmm.... I'll consider that after this first event, but you're right. I'll see how this can be turned out. But yeah, actually that's a good idea, HELL YEAH! Thanks for this feedback ha ha. Allright so the Events on going depends on how you guys proceed. Nice idea.
Allthough, those scripts are more like Examples guys, think of it that way. If you have like absolute no idea what you could RP there, you can take these scripts as example and read/understand them.
It's also about learning and refreshing. Challenge your RP skills here.
So take the scripts I wrote just as examples but the RP story itself as written above is what happens. In the scripts it's mentioned where you have to go and what probably will happen so build your RP that way and take the Conversations as example!
Also I would like to mention again that this "project-event" was more for Newbies and people which got rusty in their RP.
If you leave them just RP the outcomes themselfs then this might take too long. The scripted RP's is to show people which just joined Discovery how to RP. That's basicly how it goes to show some specific situations "Visualy" and knowing how to act afterwards.
I planned to make more and more in time so newbies can join and read the scripts analizing it and then in Game actually see the situation themself. It will leave a mark, an example so in further in Game interaction they can form their own RP.
But this is more like an example for people which got rusty in their RPs or people which absolutely don't know how to RP. So this thread should actually focus on those from announcement threads "Hey I joined Discovery lately but I don't have a single clue what to do". But also those which get yelled at for not RPing correctly and they be like "Hmmm... I'm maybe doing something realy wrong, how can I train that? Are there any "tutorials" or a way to learn this?"
You could see this Event as a Tutorial, but it's not realy like those Tutorial threads, it's mostly visualy and feeling to be inside the interaction.
The stories I wrote are also perfectly "rendered" into the current Story of Discovery. New Members will see through these interactions "Aah allright so that's why the Navy is shooting at Rheinland!" or "So that's why the Order lost Toledo" stuff like that by simple situations which would look like a Movie and a story plot. So take this as "examples" to be shown. A newbie could of course just read the script and be like "Ok I understand it", but it doesn't end there.
I want to show them how this actually looks in game so in the future if he faces such situations he will remember this like a movie or like a book he read and he will perform his own RP according to it.
Of course I could just make a "Let's Play" but actually giving the people the chance to interact will stay solid in their mind. Let's Plays are good, of course I'm also planning to start once I get a new Laptop Q_Q but there is watching the "Movie" and there is beeing inside the situation yourself and playing one of those Characters inside the movie, this way you understand how it works in a more fruitful way.
