Someone has probably noticed me logging stuff lately around here. I have recently been starting to revisit the server and the forums, at least to a small degree. Over the past two years I haven't really had much time or mental energy to commit to anything in disco for a while, I have had a lot going on in my life and that has not really helped. That and my computer and internet continues to be absolute garbage, and I feel whenever I log I have a better chance of DC'ing from a pirate encounter than actually having time to RP with one.
But I have been thinking, it is worth a shot to re-appear, or to at least try. It was actually Spazzy's youtube series that reminded me that this game can be fun, rather than just work.
I won't have the energy to try to make or run factions, unless I somehow get really invested. My past two efforts in the form of the AFA and Cryer were fun, but kind of failures.
I'll also likely retire from the LR, Bowex, and the RM, as even when I was active I couldn't commit much time to either of them (I've probably been booted for inactivity anyways). Same with moderating, at least for the time being. I got booted for inactivity, and honestly I should have just retired on my own accord earlier when I realized I wouldn't have the time or energy for it right now in my life.
So I have rambled enough, I have some questions because, well I have been out of the loop for a while.
-BHG as an official group is gone, but if a bounty board still allows a BHG ID to collect, you don't have to register right?
-What is the state of bounty hunting in general?
-What is the current state of the RM? I have not seem any of them online since I started investigating stuff about a week ago.
-What is the general state of the Omicrons? Any Zoner weirdness I missed?
-Any ideas for LF loadouts these days? I noticed they added LF debs but I am not sure if there is a kind of ratio people like to mix those with normal guns with.
-Any other news I should know about?
1) Yes.
2) Very active, as far as I can tell. It tends to boil down to "I can't shoot this, shoot it for me", but it works functionally the same.
3) Can't really answer this one, they were active a couple months ago.
4) Zonerzonerzoner remains slightly weak, iirc. The main power players these days are the Order, Core, and Outcasts, although Corsair indies are still prevalent.
5) LFs aren't really used anymore, as they're kind of weak in the meta. I believe the standard loadout is four 8.33s or 3/1 8.33/deb, although maybe 2/2 works.
6) 4.87 final is coming out soon, barges can't jump anymore, and I can't think of much else.
