I am a freelance pilot and CEO of a small company, Galaxy Logistics & Security (GLS|). We are a general shipping company, specializing in base supply services, but hope to branch out into the financial sector in the near future.
GLS| is looking to expand its activities in general and I believe affiliation with a larger corporation would help us do just that.
Interspace Commerce seems to be the corporation most in line with our company ethos, so I would like to apply to become an affiliate.
I already have a suitable reputation with Interspace to purchase ID papers from one of your merchants, however I wanted to run this past the top management of your organisation before proceeding.
If approval is given, I intend to fly my ships with Interspace ID papers, but will continue to use the GLS| designation.
Please let me know if any of the above is unsuitable, or if you would have any further requirements if we are to fly under Interspace Commerce identifications.
Yours sincerely,
Fabius Libertus, GLS|Starswine

I am Mr. Mercana Mishi Shirou, CEO of Interspace Commerce. I would like to know more of your plans in the financial sector.
What sort of services do you intend on offering for customers?
How long has your company been in existence? Where do you generally venture and what sort of materials do you happen to haul when not supplying space installations?
I have a few legal documents we must review before my organization can get into any sort of binding contracts with subsidiary LLC's.
Do you abide by House Laws and forbid any illegal activity?
Do not take this the wrong way Fabius, these are merely safeguards to protect our vast assets Sirius-wide.
I'm fairly confident we can work out some sort of deal. *He smiles*
I look forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
M.Shirou

Thank you for your reply. These are exactly the sort of questions I would have expected from a company of your reputation, so rest assured, no offense is taken at all.
In regards to financial activities, I intend to look into offering the following services:
- Start-up Loans for Traders: This would be to help traders get into business, providing loans for the purchase of ships and cargo. There is the potential here to offer a 0% interest, or similar, option to traders that meet certain criteria (e.g. joining GLS| or IC|).
- Cargo Insurance: Providing insurance to traders to cover the costs of piracy, premiums would be dependent upon the route risks and cargo value. This will require extensive research and analysis before implementation.
Galaxy Logistics & Security was only founded at the beginning of 822AS, so we are new on the scene. I have however been trading as a sole-trader for some time now (as SFMC), and have a reasonable portfolio of past and present clients. My current primary non-base supply cargo is niobium ore under contract with the IMG base, Fort Siloso. Ore is delivered to Planet Denver in the Colorado system.
I can assure you that I take house law very seriously, and have in fact reported myself to the Bretonia authorities for an accidental breach of their cargo regulations in the past, they were very understanding and this did not negatively affect my relationship with the BPA.
To date, the only intentional breach of house law has been the trade of blood diamonds with the Hessians of Frietal Base. My trade with the Hessians is due to idealogical reasons. However the Hessians' account with GLS| is currently suspended, due to their lack of support while trading in their territory.
If you do not think that trade with the Hessians is suitable, this account can be permanently closed (it is not the first time I have had to suspend their account), or I can conduct trade with them only outside of Rheinland space, so as not to be in breach of house laws.
I hope you find the above to be compatible with your interests, but if you have further concerns or questions please let me know.
Best wishes,
Fabius Libertus, GLS|Starswine

I thank you for your prompt reply to my series of questions, it is good to know you're a punctual CEO *He nods in delight*
I'm fairly satisfied with the status of your company and your diplomatic views. In years past, Interspace Commerce also dealt with the Red Hessians in trade but we've since cleaned up our overall business practices and refrain from hauling any sort of illicit cargo. With this said, you may continue to run your organization as you see fit, but you will be obligated to sign a non-binding contract stating our company holds no responsibility for your employee's actions, whether legal or illegal. I'm forwarding the required legal document to you with this transmission, all that I ask is a return of the signed document if the terms are sufficient.
Sincerely,
M.Shirou

I am very sorry to announce that my affiliation with Interspace Commerce must be terminated, due to reasons beyond my control.
There are certain of my loyal customers that have expressed displeasure about the affiliation with Interspace. I must leave these customers unnamed, as I take customer confidentiality very seriously.
Ending this affiliation is a heavy financial expense for me, not to mention embarrassing. However, I must put my loyal customers before my pride or my profits in this sort of situation, I hope you can understand my decision.
I apologise for any inconvenience this has caused you, and hope that I may be able to help you forge a closer relationship with the aforementioned parties in the future.
Until next time, good luck with business.
Best wishes,
