To put it simple, marijuana is the least dangerous drug there is. Hell, its less dangerous then alcohol and cigarettes.

What makes me think is that fact that NO ONE brought cannabis seeds with them to sirius? Hemp rope would be one of the first things I would think to have available to me when restarting a society regardless of the tech available to me.

Personally I don't think its a question of whether its right or wrong to have it Contraband. We have what, four contraband commodities? Not a lot of options for smugglers...

actually are't there a lot more than 4 contraband commodities coming up in v.485?

under the proposed ID rule changes (ask for link, its in the RP mod discussion section), i think certain commodites are given to specific House IDs to control. things like diamonds will be classified as contraband by certain houses (i think... Dragons, not sure)
