"Where am I?" The room was clean, cold, totally white without any special details. Franklin remembered that he had offered himself to save the crew of the Monsum, to be the hero of the day. The thoughts shot in his mind again. "I am a brave man. This mechanic monster would kill us all if nobody will go with it."
While Franklin felt slightly happy that his action had saved the life of his friends, he began to touch his body to check if everything is fine. He sighed strong. "Puuh, nothing is ripped off."
Suddenly a mechanic device grew out of the floor and the previous announced nightmare began.
It just needed a minute that Franklin realized that his arms and legs are gone. The pain was far beyond something he ever had felt before. It wasn't just the physical pain itself, it was mostly the psychological pain. Right in this moment he realized the result of his decission and began to hate himself for that. He instantly hoped to receive a quick death blow, but it wasn't granted to him.
"How do you feel?" Suddenly a scary voice came out of nothing. Under strong pain Franklin started to whimmer. "Who are you? Where are you? Show yourself, that I can kill you." A moment of silence occured till the voice answered. "Subject Franklin, your body is degraded. How do you feel?" Suddenly Franklin noticed something touched his neck and he tried to turn his head, but failed, instead he wildly shook his body. "Don't touch me. Stop touching me." Within that moment Franklin realized that the wounds stopped hurting. "What is this? What do you want from me? You want to know how do I feel?! I feel angry and sad. My life has started ending. Now end it."
Franklin awaited the voice to answer, but nothing happened. After some hours of extreme melancholy of reviewing his person and his life he started to cry and to raise his voice again with a true sad tone,. "Please, stop this."
Suddenly the room transformed into a beautiful greenfield, animals passing by and Franklin smelled the aroma of fresh cutted green. Then, the voice spoke again. "Subject, do you feel better?" Franklin, needed some time to find an answer. "Stop, these cheap tricks. You are soulless monsters. Just toasters without any soul." While Franklin was a little satisfied about his statement the environment turned back into the previous cold, white room. At once the voice spoke. "Experimental condition sufficient. Converting information."
Suddenly the room dissolved as same as Franklin does.
