If you are like me living in the western hemisphere, you might hate that moment you have to deal with over 150 ping and see fighters CONSTANTLY teleporting and twitching.
This has gotten so out of hand for me, it is the primary reason I can never score a hit on anything. While I know it's because the server is hosted in EU, this really shouldn't be happening. I know that moving the server to the U.S. will never happen, as most players are from EU (explains why the Germans are quite frequent), but you have to help us out a bit. PvP is almost impossible due to enemies constantly teleporting around due to this game having HORRIBLE lag compensation. A few things that I think will help fix this are:
- Attempt to rework the netcode
- Attempt to provide better lag compensation
- Fix player hitboxes, ESPECIALLY on Corsair ships
- Host the server or sub-server inside the U.S.
Please, don't make us suffer just for where we live. Even with badass internet connections, ping times will be very high if the server is halfway around the globe.
Stop complaining, please. It's not like your ping is above 400 like some people, so like, calm down. The Devs are doing all they can to reduce ping and fix the issues you've mentioned, but they do all of this for free out of their own time. On top of that, only so much can be done to a game this old, just like old mate Loki said. If you think you can make all of these things happen so easily, then apply to be a Dev.
Also even from a technical standpoint, 150ms isn't that bad. It's certainly PVPable.
Shocking, americans are always like "host the server in the states we're more important", like please.
