I suggested the following as an idea for cruise speed modifications in a discussion last November:

Quote:I'd rather a more graduated cruise speed difference between classes, something like follows:

LFs - 450
HFs - 400
Freighter - 375
VHF/SHF - 350
Bomber - 330
GB - 325
Transports - 315
Cruiser - 300
Trains - 275
Carrier - 260
Battleship/Juggy - 250

If you cannot tie cruise speeds to specific Engine types/classes, then maybe you could do it by ship class?

With the recent implementation of the pirate IFF maybe pirate station is in order.perhaps selling "Smugglers Engines" with varying prices and speeds.( higher cruise faster charge ect)

I don't think these two should go together...otherwise you end up with an OP engine that everyone will use.

You balance one of the benefits out with a drawback = higher cruise w/ slower charge, or vice versa, and you have something a bit more workable.
