I have heard that Synth Foods is capable of constructing excellent and high quality Biodomes for installations. The Core could use the services of Synth Foods to help construct one of these Biodomes on one of our smaller installations - Invicta Research Complex.
Currently however I am unsure on the costs of construction and how long it will take, so I could use a brief. Note that AP Manufacturing can provide extra logistical support if needed.

Good to meet you, Mr. Nodtviet.
I'm glad to hear that The Core - or AP Manufacturing - or both of these organizations is/are interested in acquiring a BioDome contract from our offices. I'm sure I do not need to remind you, but these BioDome self-sustainable facilities are the one and only solution to your food supply woes - in remote locations such as yours, there are simply no alternatives to such a well-produced and easy-to-maintain product, one capable of supplying four thousand permanent residents or more over a single stellar cycle.
Typically, installation of a BioDome product requires several weeks of inspection, construction, and maintenance. However, we have recently developed a new and improved method of installation; however, because of the increased automation in such a product, I must warn you that it is mildly more expensive.
Either way, the budget schedule will appear as follows:
- A BioDome representative will be dispatched to the area in question; surveying and design will commence. One to two weeks.
- A materials proposal will be submitted to the Construction and Design Bureau, and a receipt will be sent to the ordering company in question. One week.
- Shipment of material will begin; local contractors will be hired, if possible. Up to one month, depending on model.
- Construction begins when significant material has been delivered. Up to three months, depending on model.
- Once construction is completed, a final material cost and construction bill will be sent to the ordering company, and contractors will be paid in full.
- BioDome maintenance teams will then be sent on a bi-weekly/monthly basis (to be determined by the purchaser in question).
And now, for the good stuff. We have two models of BioDome to offer to you today:
Automated Hydroponics System, Mark IV
► Volume: 500,000 m³ (100mx100mx50m)
► Material cost: 125,000,000 cr. est. (not incl. transportation fees)
► Construction cost: 50,000,000 cr. est.
► Time to completion: 1-3 mos. depending on location, transportation, etc.
► Maximum population sustainable: approx. 2,000 persons over one stellar cycle
The Mark IV is the most reliable BioDome product offered by Synth Foods. In service by over fifty installations across Sirius for over one hundred years, the Mark IV provides smaller installations with an inexpensive yet reliable method of feeding their populace, as well as generating excess water and oxygen via their hydroponics systems. This unit comes with a lifetime guarantee* and full service by BioDome maintenance teams.
Advanced Hydroponics System, Mark Vb
► Volume: 625,000 m³ (100mx125mx50m)
► Material cost: 225,000,000 cr. est. (not incl. transportation fees)
► Construction cost: 25,000,000 cr. est.
► Time to completion: Up to 1 month. depending on location, transportation, etc.
► Maximum population sustainable: approx. 4,000 persons over one stellar cycle
The newest innovation from the Research and Development labs, the AHS-Vb is a new approach to hydroponics systems. Featuring a nearly completely automated construction and growery process, the Mark Vb is capable of supplying much larger installations with much less labor than earlier models. However, the automated construction units involved in building this model are much more expensive as a result, and maintenance issues are likely to occur in the early trial stages of this new model. As always, a lifetime guarantee* is offered on this model as well as full support from BioDome maintenance teams.
I'll leave it up to you to decide, Mr. Nodtviet. Note that any budget contract might have to involve hazard pay, should our transporters need to be involved in the transport, given the...location of your installation. Once you've made a selection, we'll send out a vessel to your installation (at your approval), begin to survey the best location to construct the dome, and create a materials budget that we will submit to our CDB as well as yourself, functioning as an early receipt.
Any additional inquiries, comments, or questions can be forwarded on this frequency, and either myself or my secretary will reply to them as soon as possible. Thank you for choosing Synth Foods.
The Automated Hydroponics System, Mark IV, sounds perfect for our needs. Hypothetically speaking, if I could direct several extra transports to help with the logistical elements of this project, would we be able to lower the cost as well as speed up the construction?
In regards to survey you'll need to send one of your transports to Omicron Rho to inspect the location. We want to construct a BioDome onto Invicta Research Complex for scientific purposes. Whilst we do already have BioDomes constructed on our installations, too much hassle is required moving a research project between stations.
If you could get back to me with a time and date when one of your transports will be available, we can arrange when the survey will be conducted.

Good seeing you again, Mr. Nodtviet.
I'm glad to hear that the Core will go ahead with the purchase of one of our fine BioDome products. I assure you that the AHS-IV is one of our finest and most reliable products, and will more than adequately serve your installation, deep within the hostile Omicrons.
As for our survey mission, I have been informed that the SFV Gluten Free will be departing for your Invicta installation at 1930 SMT, on the 13th of January, 823 A.S. I hope this is reasonable enough for you - if not, it's only a simple matter to reschedule their flight. It would be most appreciated if an escort vessel from the Core could meet the Gluten Free as it transits into the Omicrons - I'm sure I don't need to inform you as to the fallibility of corporate-grade armor when it comes to fending off the brutish ne'er-do-wells that live beyond the House borders.
As for your other requests - if you would be so kind as to donate the time and effort of the Core's logistic backbone, then I could very easily nix the entire contractor fee and simply hand you the material requisition bill up front, instead. You would still be responsible for approximately half of the material cost and all of the construction cost, as many of the parts are unfortunately proprietary to our company. This would place the bill for your AHS-IV installation to be approximately 125,000,000 cr., assuming all transportation is handled by Synth Foods transports and Core/APM logistics vessels. I hope this is satisfactory.
If you have any questions or concerns, you've got my comm ID.
