I've just arrived at Singapore and been given an initial tour of the completed Erdbeben.
It's certainly a huge step ahead of my previous flagship, the Oder-class Schneesturm.
It will certainly take some time before we are actually ready to depart, familiarizing my crew and myself with a vessel of this size is a formidable task. I'm happy to say your teams at Singapore have already been very helpful in this regard.
The plan for the coming days is to make a few initial flights around the vicinity of the shipyard, to ensure we are sufficiently familiar with basic operating procedures and maneuvering. Meanwhile, we are still awaiting a response from the Republic of Kusari for legal passage, and I will be contacting the Gas Miners Guild with the same request.
Personally, it's quite the amazing experience to be standing on the bridge here after such a long time.
I'm confident the Erdbeben will live up to my expectations and will fulfill all her intended roles.
To give an official statement:
On behalf of ALG Waste Disposal, Security Division, I am proud to announce the official launch of the ALG Security Capital Erdbeben, Sagarmatha-class, hull number E10037, from Singapore Shipyards.
I am Commander Elisabeth Hudson, and I am tasked with allowing you to familiarize yourself with the new ship. The Guild Patrol Vessel Pathfinder, a Thanatos-class Cruiser, is currently being redeployed to Tau 44 to have its weaponry and armor inspected. In the process of the stay in Tau 44, orders are to act as OpFor and also of course assist in any other sort of training exercise that the crew will be doing often from now on.
I'm sending my XO on board of the Erdbeben as soon as you have mastered basic maneuvering, to instruct your crew on the fine aspects of flying in Tau 23. The journey can be perilious, even without meeting any resistance. I am furthermore looking forward to meeting you in person soon. I am pretty sure we have time to get to know each other while my ship is getting upgraded and yours is being finetuned. Believe me, some lessons can be taught in theory, and it would be foolish to learn those in action.
Anyway, ETA 4 hours 23 mikes.
Yours sincerely,
Elisabeth Hudson
Commanding Officer
GPV Pathfinder
