Any of you played any of these games? they are really good.
I have played UFO AI, which i think is still being made (its freeware, and you can play it, but it is imcomplete, but it really rules)
The sheer amount of backstory and info and detail put into the info sections for each research/weapon/etc is awesome, wish FL had that kinda amount of story in them.
UFO AI is a freeware game with better graphics than the old X-Com, and a similar playstyle and the same "build base, send dropships full of men to investigate alien attacks, pew pew aliens, come back with bodies and technology for autopsy/research formula.. The graphics are in isometric 3d for the battles, with the same old world geoscape. Despite its awesomeness, it is unfinished (atm when you play it the alien encounters and ufos stop spawning, the researchs drop of, and some items say "unfinished" in their description after you reach a certain point in the game)
it is alot of fun tho
no idea. it is playable in the unfinished version. Being a freeware game its finishing wont be quick (due to the large amount of stuff they have to write and research partly)
Yeah, I played and still own all the Xcom games. UFO: Enemy Unknown (or XCOM: UFO Defence as it was called in the USA, I think) still ranks as one of my all-time favourite games.
Xcom was my most played game on the original playstation and I bought the mouse for that one I've played the PC version as well of course but the Console one had some extra stuff and better graphics (Hovertanks).
It's amazing how old it is and there is still no real successor to the amount of strategy it had I'd have to rank it the best strategy/management game made.
It really does need a modern version in my opinion.
X com Terror of the Deep on the PSX at 1st i hated the game with a passion.... but then i got bored one day and was hooked pretty fun game liked the whole underwater thing about it... if anyone knows of any other games that matched it please do tell i wouldnt mind playing one again
