"I've informed my captain to take course on Wuppertal. Beer shall arrive in a minute."
"So, directors. I also am of opinion a shipyard is expensive and big investment, which not necessarily would have to pay in this backyard system, far from resources and our other industrial base. If you allow me, I think for now we should focus on two things: the planet itself, and your mining operations in space.
I am convinced with our expertise and aid, joint operations in space on a larger than so far scale will reveal more resources. However, I don't think ALG would like, or even allow us basing from Wuppertal. How big part of that base is in your hands? I'm asking because I thought ALG would try to get rid of you from the station, after they chose not to associate with you?"
*Fred smiled and hesitated for a bit but then respond.*
”Our mining operations in the system are our main concern. Wuppertal is funded jointly by Kruger and ALG and while they do operate the station Kruger is the reason it's up and running, our mining operations in the system are a driving force of the station. While we keep to our end of the bargain with ALG of the contract, they decide not too. So we have several options. I recommend to build separate new sections of the station long with docking rings and points for our own, so we have more control and we can have a bigger and better focus on nearby events.“
*Ulrich shaked his head and interrupted Fred.*
”We could do that Fred, but it would make only room for more problems and useless investments. We can just keep our presence on the station for the time being as a deposit point or an ore drop off point. Until we have another deposit point, after witch we bring them the news. I bet it will not go unnoticed after all, if we would suddenly invest in Koeln together with the Daumann. If we would depart from Wuppertal and they would invite independent mining contractors like the Independent Miners Guild, they would firstly need the approval of the Rheinland Bundestag for a foreign, non Rheinland corporation to mine inside of Rheinland. Secondly, Kruger has the sole mining rights in the system.“
*Fred nodded to Ulrich.*
”As usual you are right about that Ulrich. I wonder what the ALG would do with all that storage on that station and the station in general when we just depart. Luckily these are not our problems. We have our hands full already with upcoming plans and the same goes for Dresden evacuation and relocation and a small shipline a fighter and possible bomber class vessel.“
”Ulrich walks towards Fred and lays his arm on his right shoulder to rest.“
”Fred, do not be too enthusiastic and stay with the present. The things you now mention are still far away in the future. Let us first proceed step by step.“
”We were discussing our assets in Dresden in our last board meeting herr Mittermeier. A vote resulted it would be for our best interest to depart the Dresden system. All the help we can get to save our assets from the Dresden system would be more than welcome. It would not only make it a good leverage to start our expansion further into the Koeln system.“
*Ulrich interrupted Fred*
”We should make arrangements to start moving out from Dresden while we still have assets to save. The Military is doing a great job over there. But at some point they have to pull back. So be should make haste with the Dresden operation.“
Do you need assistance from our transport fleet? - asked Mittermeier
We can send few transports from The Ring quickly for help, or organize increased security, if that's what you are worried about. The evacuated machines could be stored at The Ring for the time being, before we prepare site in Koeln to accomodate Dresden machinery. Should I send instructions to Berlin?
”That would be very appreciated Herr Mittermeier, we should speed up with the departure of Dresden, before our enemies get any suspicions. How long would it take for Daumann to prepare ships to aid us in this operation?“
*Fred took a look at Ulrich and awaited his final words.*
”I have to agree with you there Ulrich, if we wait too long it would not only cost us a lot of credits, but eventually maybe even a complete station. We can not have that happening to us. The station really outserved its usefulness and we should take these actions now, while we still can. I shall make arrangements as soon we’re finished over here for the transportation.“
"That depends on what needs moving out of your station, and at what stage your own preparations are. We'll send free ship or two from The Ring as soon as possible, and organize more vessels and manpower in the meantime"
