Lena Atzenbruck here. I'm sorry to say it's been quite some time since we heard from each other.
I want to say to Erich in particular that I have not been avoiding contact, I've just been swamped with work. I really hope we can meet sometime soon under more relaxed circumstances.
Unfortunately for me, it's also just business I'm bringing to you today. Basically I am just forwarding a message from Division V, but I wanted to write it myself for several reasons. To tell you what I said before, and also maybe because you know me and hopefully trust me.
Now, we're all familiar with the Freeport 11 tragedy, and you've probably guessed by this point that this message is in some way related. I won't go into too much detail because I'm sure you've seen plenty of public and probably several non-public transmissions about it.
Suffice to say, we've declared hostility towards the Core after my convoy was attacked, and as a consequence are starting all kinds of negotiations with various parties. It's a real mess. Of course, one of the parties this inevitably brought us closer to is the Order. We've had decent relations before, due in no small part to our mutual partnership with you, but with all reason to avoid antagonizing Core evaporated, we can work much more closely with them now.
Division V has been in contact with the Overwatch and the O'Rhu cell, and now it looks as though we'll need to involve you in our ongoing efforts.
Specifically, this is what this is all about:
There will be a passenger arriving at one of your bases, a member of the O'Rhu cell. They will be employed as a military advisor by ALG. We will need to send a ship to pick him or her up.
We plan to provide greater and more direct material support to the Order, and again it would be very helpful if your bases could potentially act as drop off points or rendezvous locations for this. There's few other places that wouldn't be problematic for this in Rheinland.
Of course, if we're moving closer towards the Order, and especially if you'll be helping us with that, we also want to extend a hand to provide more support to you. Again, it's really unfortunate we haven't kept up as much as we should have, but we are always willing to go out of our way for something you might need.
There's another thing we need to discuss but I'll wait for your reply before I get to that.
It's... So good to see and hear you again. Nonetheless I need to maintain my formality in this particular transmission.
Our strongholds will be open as always to any convoys and employees working in the Northern Rheinlandic corridor, as always. As far as I'm concerned, ALG is unconditionally welcome with us - At least, so long as your employees aren't followed.
Your reaching out to us is fortuitous as well. Aside from our exodus of Nuremberg, the Widerstandsarmee has also been in contact with the Confederation of Freeports - Essentially, we'd like to support the creation of one within Luneburg to serve as a mitigator to the system's northwards expansion. It appears to have worked similarly effectively at least in the cases of Freeports 1 and 2 for the respective governments involved.
Of course, that's simply the realpolitik of it. Anything that could house the teeming masses of desperate civilians even temporarily takes a titanic strain off the Party's shoulders. To that end, I'm de-classifying the transmission to the Condfederation's spokesperson, Finn McCool.
You'll also find the latest permissions and paperwork to Bundschuh strongholds attached, in case docking is required for any of your aforementioned purposes. I'm also interested in hearing what else you wished to mention. And...
It's wonderful to hear from you again. It's been far too long.
I'll make sure I make time to actually have a conversation not related to business as soon as I can.
For now though, I have to continue with this. I'm glad to hear the personnel transfer won't be a problem. I'll have Division V informed at once.
The project you mentioned sounds like it has great potential. We've been in contact with administrator McCool, and have already pledged support to the Zoner cause against the oppression of the Core. It sounds like you'll need a lot of help with this, and while I can say right away that we will assist in any way we can, I have to warn you that constructing and administrating a station is a huge endeavor. I'll write a response in the channel you linked, but suffice to say we will be onboard with this.
The other thing I was going to mention before I had to leave and my comm typing time was cut short is the following.
The person we will be picking up, the O'Rhu military advisor, will serve on our newest project - the battlecruiser Erdbeben. Now I'm almost 100% certain I've mentioned this project, but if I haven't: ALG has ordered an IMGC-104D Sagarmatha-class Battlecruiser from the IMG's Singapore Shipyards, and the ship has just been launched. She'll be making her way to Rheinland in the coming weeks.
Of course, we can't exactly send a battlecruiser to assist you openly, but one of the main reasons for her purchase is the Nomad threat, and that is something the Federal Republic of Rheinland will have no complaints about. She'll be captained by Kai Richter, my Director of Security and a very professional, trustworthy guy.
All her crew are handpicked and will include at the very least one Order operative of the O'Rhu cell.
None of us really know how much her deployment will affect you, but I feel you need to know about this, and know that if an ALG battlecruiser shows up in your backyard, her captain and crew are absolutely airtight. If there will be anything she can assist you with without initiating hellfire from the Police and Military, I'll make sure it happens.
I miss you. We always knew this was going to be complicated I guess, but that doesn't make it any easier to deal with. I really hope I can see you soon.
