I have recently come back to Disco - for the second time.. I think! Anyway I absolutely love the dynamic and RP available to the privateer ID. I mean your an unlawful char who's been secretly ordered to profit and derail hostile nations and to tackle threats.
Meaning there is scope to "pirate" hostiles and "police" as well. A few times now I have been asked by BPA to help out with a dodgy pirate with my bomber. This leads me to think, a privateer is and would be expected to engage and target unlawful and hostile forces within Bretonian space. The ID does not allow the privateer to fine or claim bounties on pirates or hostile forces in in bretonia.
I have a feeling if the ID was allowed to claim bounties for bretonia within bretonia space it could bring further activity to the ID. Thoughts anyone?
Also can we finally get the ZOI and info sorted? Can a privateer demand credits from a trader not from or allied to Bretonia in Bretonian house space? Obviously if RP allows it.
Oh really? I never knew they could claim bounties in their ZOI. I'll have to see if the Bretonia board will allow a privateer to claim!
Still the issue of whether I can demand credits from a trader in Bretonian space however? Or would you say it's just the main House systems that a privateer wouldn't operate in? For example if I came across this as an IMG in Dublin, would I be able to demand credits from him?
You can demand credits from everyone who isn't a close ally of Bretonia. Here is the list. You can pirate everyone in section 1.3 - 1.6. Even Kusari Exiles or Bounty Hunters.
For example IMG, ALG, Daumann or Samura.
Though, depends if you are afraid of the consequences. Pirating IMG in Dublin may result in IMG asking Bretonia to punish you, but on the other hand, BMM may be happy.
