'Ello colonel,
Ya recently told me about some progress in ye... studies, and I'd like to ask ye if you'd be willin' to share more of what you found. I'm buldin' a database of sorts, and more info never hurst. Oh and... that reminds me, some time ago, ya got some intel from Aetius. I saw the transmission, but the scans and cams were encrypted just fer ya, ya think ya could share them with me?
I'd of course get you any info from my DB ya'd need.
I apologize for taking so long to reply to your transmission, I've had a rough couple of days with Flora, Xalo, I think you've been briefed about it.
Sure, I'll tell you about the progress.
So, as I have mentioned before, Nomads show a lot of individuality, more than I thought.
I am not convinced of whether they had this individuality in them all along, or they brought it from us.
What I do know for sure, our own development in Sirius is directly affecting the Nomads.
Before the event in Stuttgart, I have been contacted by another entity.
This one didn't use hallucinations to communicate, it hacked into my navmap, and my comm channel and lead me to a secluded point in space where we could communicate undisturbed.
It told me that the Nomads are also experimenting on themselves, just like we do, they try to copy human technology, so that they can better integrate with it.
The Nomad claimed they do this for the purpose of easing communications between our two civilizations, and proved that they are actually easing up communications by talking with me through my own ship's speakers instead of telepathy.
This manner of communication is much more efficient, I have been able to understand the Nomad very clearly, and accurate, something that is hard to achieve using telepathy alone.
It also told me, that human influence has created some sort of division among the Nomads, when I asked the Nomad for further cooperation, it told me that it must speak with it's "elders" first.
What I understand from this, is that different Nomads might have different thoughts about us, and that may lead to internal disputes, which is why this Nomad didn't give me a straight yes or no answer, but said it must receive approval.
If so, this means that some Nomads can actually be persuaded to work -with- us, instead of against us, just like you have Nomad sympathizers among humans, there might be human sympathizers among the Nomads, although how are they going to keep it a secret eludes me.
But, the point is, you have Nomads like Kal'Reh who want nothing but to destroy us, and you have Nomads who apparently want peace.
This has opened a new window of possibilities for us, if there are actually Nomads out there who do not wish to fight us, if we could contact them in some way, maybe we could come to some sort of understatement between our civilizations, if not, then at least get an insight into theirs, find some weak spots, use those to gain an edge.
I've also learned of the existence of a bacteria on planet Gaia that can dissolve a human being in a matter of hours.
Humans are aliens to Sirius, we do not belong in the eco systems here, yet this bacteria sees us as an amazing lunch.
If this indigenous bacteria can do this to a human, there is a real possibility it can do the same to the Nomads, because they too are organic beings.
My reason for calling Flora to the Barrier Gate was to try and get her to give me some samples of this bacteria, since Gaians have access to it.
I wanted to get my hands on this bacteria, some Nomad parasite type, you know, the ones who infect humans, put them together in a controlled environment and see what happens.
IF the bacteria attacks the Nomad, then it means that it can be upgraded, bio-engineered to attack the Nomad ships too.
Having bombs filled with a super version of this bacteria and unleashed upon a Nomad fleet would be a devastating blow, and we won't even have to fight them then. Imagine setting it loose across Iota.
These are all just theories, I haven't had the chance to test either of them, but if either one is correct, imagine what we could do.
General Aetius revealed information about a large Nomad installation in Omicron Delta that warship Faro discovered.
I am headed there tomorrow to examine, and I won't mind you accompanying me.
I heard warship Faro was too big to get too close, and me having the Sanctum now...
Well, your Sidhe might be able to go where I cannot.
I hope this satisfied your curiosity.
Come with me to Delta, I get the feeling that whatever it is you're building with this information will benefit greatly from it.
Felt like my second home, to be honest. Omicron Delta was, in fact, a delta before the Great ion Storm of May, 823. A ridiculous amount of Jump Holes lead to this system. Now, that is changed and Maltese and Corsairs don't need to come to Delta to visit each other's territory with battleships. Less stress for Core.
The most interesting thing about Omicron Delta, in relation to the nomads, is this 'new' thing they found in the cloud , the Omicron Delta Edge Nebula. We knew there were always a bit more than just those big rocks. There was this Nomad Energy Node, now there is a, what IRG calls it, Nomad Azurite Reactor. Poorly defended, hidden in that cloud between giant rocks and debris of both Core and Order ships. The Wild now and then patrols the area as well as the nomads. I assisted IRG in a research mission here, when a Wilde Gunboat leered at their ships.
One thing to notice. Azurite Gas can be mined there, however, this Azurite isn't the same like Azurite A6. My knowledge on this substance is minimal, but I asked a few people about it. I leave it to the desk criminals to get more knowledge on this topic, as it seems Azurite A6 is something that causes mental illnesses. It's enough to have one Sapphire Raven out there.
Also, there is another nomad installation in Omicron Delta. It's the Lichtenfelde Complex, known for quite a while by the Core and the Order, and of course the Zoners, as Freeport 11 is the installation closest to it. Be careful in Omicron Delta with small ships and transports. The lesser nomads are very aggressive now and can take down unarmed vessels really quick. It's not a rare sight to see Marduks, Irras and Nammus in open space, the Kiribati field or the Edge Nebula. Especially around Lichtenfelde Nammus are often spotted.
One other notice. Ish'tar, the second biggest nomad I've seen so far, is visiting Omicron Delta sometimes. Be very, very careful, as this monster has an effective weapon range of over 8.0k and it's weapon is horribly efficient.
That is quite the information you've gathered, I am impressed.
Just to add to my theory, do you have any idea about Ish'tar's behavior? Is it overly aggressive like Kal'Reh or more relaxed like others?
It goes without saying that if we have the misfortune to run into Ish'tar, we drop everything and go.
With that being said, Sanctum is still chilling on Miura.
I'll take it to do some exploration while the preparations are being made, see if I can find a way into Delta without passing through Order, or Outcast space.
The stuff I sent is sadly the only intel on Ish'tar I have. But anythin' that can dust a ship from 8K range is potential danger in me eyes, regardles its behaviour.
And accordin' to a map me contact sent me, the only way to get to Delta without goin' through Order or 'Cast space is goin' through Omicron Rho, which is Core claimed system. The contact suggested not to go to that system, and since I've been seen with Order by two Core members, it really might not be the best idea to go through Rho, especially when we dinnae have any idea how the system looks or where are the holes located.
I have found a shortcut from Kusari through sigmas, it will lead us straight to Omicron Theta and from there through Corsair space, I understand we're on good terms with them so that shouldn't be a problem.
I will send you the coordinates once you get to your ship.
