1. In the launcher, what is the Flight Text? When i first started it was off, so i put it on but did not see any new text ingame when fliying. Does it add anything?
2. I noticed in the launcher there is "My Accounts" beside the Parameters....is there an account manager built into the launcher?...so i can have like 5 accounts and 25 ships? (5/account)? not that i need that many...
3. Of the time i spent flying so far why is it i see literally no one in Gallia? Are there any clans way out that way? Don't people like that area?
4. I have seen the "Bustard" Civilian Light Carrier. As a freelance explorer would i be able to purchase this ship with a Freelancer ID? I know the ID states what kind of ships you can fly but it is a Civilian carrier. Maybe RP how i came upon this ship in a debris field and had it retrofitted?...
1: When you enter a cloud, the game will tell you Bla Bla Bla cloud, when you leave the game will tell you, Bye bye Cloud.
2. Yes, go to my accounts, then click on manage accounts, now you can add, edit or delete a account.
3. Well, we don't have "clans" here except [-=XTF=-], otherwise we call them factions, also Gallia is pretty much dead because it's not a vanilla house and not so much to do.
4. Good question, someone else will answer on this
Hi there, and welcome to the community. You've already gotten some good and accurate answers from others in this thread, but I'd just like to add some corrections.
First, Discovery has modified how the server handles accounts, so you can actually have up to seven (7) ships on one account (though it's a little buggy - if you have four ships and try to make a fifth, you'll need to back out to the server browser and reconnect before being able to make the sixth; don't worry, you'll still always be able to use all of your ships just fine!).
Second, the Bustard is considered as a transport by the rules, meaning that any ID that's allowed to use transports (which is all of them, I'm pretty sure) can use the Bustard. Note it isn't really a "real" capital ship like every other "carrier" in the mod -- it has transport turrets, rather than cruiser or battleship turrets. It isn't really capable of defending itself or being used effectively in combat scenarios, so if you're planning to use it as something more than a roleplay platform, you'll be disappointed. (Nevermind all that, apparently I had been misinformed.)
Finally, an RP like you described is possible, and when you write a story for the purpose of being permitted to use a ship on an ID that normally doesn't allow it, or not receiving a tech nerf on equipment you normally couldn't use, there's a process called a Special Roleplay Request to go through, which costs 250 million credits. You can find more information here.
I hope that this thread's given you some useful information. Good luck with whatever you decide to do here!

Actually, it does have Cruiser turrets and a battleship shield.
This Galaxy is vast; its wonders and beauty are almost unfathomable. But the galaxy also hides dark secrets, some of which have lain dormant since the beginning of time itself. There is a danger in secrets, both in seeking and in knowing. Some things are meant to be hidden from view. Some mysteries defy understanding, and sometimes even the things we think we know are untrue. Some secrets should remain untouched.

Forgot to add, it can also mount 1 Battleship secondary, on which i recommend putting a flak gun
EDIT: Also, np, Petitioner

That is what is different with the text, lol. I have been thinking..that's cool..it tells me what cloud/field i am in. o_0
The built in account manager is just to cool...i remember messing around with an old Acct manager but always seemed to mess up and lose acct's.
Seems like kind of a waste to have a whole house full of every thing and no one trip around there...i might just have to hop up there and see whats up some time.
Ya..i want to work out some good rp for my one character...the who, why, what, where, when's kind of thing but looking at the price of that ship...more than double any of the ships in that class -_- it will take me a while to get there..more time for character building i guess.
Also try out the Corvo! It's a Gunboat, usable by Freelancers, has Cruiser shields and uses a battleship cloak - it's just weak in offensive fights, but good for ArPee!
