Good day Ladies and Gentlemen,

Excuse this rather... unspecific titeling but it is rather rare for me to make contact to a group the Republic is not very friendly with. But there can occure times we need to step out of our comfort zone to protect what is important to us. That is the reason why I actually am trying to get in touch with you.

Where shall I start...? From my military forces I was informed that we share one enemy in common and right now I am going after the saying that, the foe of my enemy can become a friend, or at least might want some kind of free hunting allowance for some of their bigger enemies in Sirius space. We shall see what we can agree on.
Before you start to loose your patience with me, it is about your dear friends the Outcasts. We were informed that they plan to invade our space and are willing to endanger civilian lifes by destroying an installation for reasearch purposes. Just because they can and their hatred blurred their eyes.

So in this times of need and with the knowledge I am willing to even try to set up a fragile alliance or whatever it should be called.
If you are open for it I would appreciate an answer from you, as soon as it is possible.

Good evening Senor Ladron,

Maybe I was expressing myself slightly wrong and I had to hold back crucial informations. When I was contacting you we were in the mid of a fight against the Gallic Royal Navy to reclaim the old home we had. With the conquest of Tau-44 we are now able to focus again on what matters most for the safety and well being of our people.
By the time I was contacting you Outcast forces decided to siege our base, well knowing that our main forces were winning a war. So they took their chance and destroyed a base the Republic build for civilian matters and even an independant base right next to it. Our historicans told me that ages ago our groups were quite close in their way of working together. I do know that this kind of state will be rather... unlikely achieved but neutral terms could be something both of our groups will gain more with than we could loose.
I talked with our civilian sector about what we would be able to do and they told me that we would be able to support you and your people with armamensts, ammonition and since our researchers are working 24 hours per day on finding a maybe pharmaceutical use of plants of Planet Yuma I could imagine to set up some kind of loose cooperation.
That means if you and the Corsairs are open for it. But since you answered rather quickly, I feel tempted to think that there is at lease a slight interest.

I will await your response and ideas concerning this still faint offer.

But we promiced our loyalty already. Our Gaian allies are mucho unhappy how you treat wildlife on Yuma. We are not shaken a lot about it, but taking Gaian side in this matter makes them forget for a second about some of our own misdeeds. *he looks like images of a whole planet burning in nuclear flames are passing his mind*

By looking at your personal determination, I think you will exterminate those plants this way or another. If our Gaian ally calls us for a help, we would have to come and kick your... some of your nice body parts. *blushes*And for what? For a badass PLANT?! Caramba! Anything badassed is our brother, or our sister! So... how about we please both sides? How about you give us some plants and we plant them to our drylands. That way we would save your loco plants and we would make our planet greener. They will not be so aggressive on Crete. Maybe we can smoke them with Santa Muerte's blessings *he crosses*, or make tequila, who knows...

Later we can talk about pressing Malta from two sides. That's mucho more interesting than pleasing our allies, but first things first. Your ships still are looking like a food to us.

Excuse the delayed response but I had quite some things to take care of.
One question since it kinda interests me after my conversation with our scientist, do you wish for the original wildlife or would you maybe be interested in some modified plants we are currently working on. I mean I love the wilderness of Yumas untamed side but it is highly dangerous if you handle it in a naive way. With that in mind I will see if the Republic can leave some of Yumas islands natural finished, while creating plants that won't only feed the Republic but if treated right, allies and those who are willing to pay for fresh products.
So you see there can be a quite valuable trade generated, if others would be interessted in it. Either way it would be possible to hand you some plants, but I have to point out once more that the original plants can be highly dangerous and might cause you problems on Crete. We may not be friends but putting innocents at a risk is nothing I wish for.

As for the ships I am sure we both can find a way for a more relaxed meeting and going along. Since we both need our pilots for more important things I guess even some non shooting agreement would be what we can call a success.

There is only one thing more stubborn than your loco plants. *nods*

Your insisting forced me to mention your suggestions to Elders and they said no, as expected. But... Saving your original plants by letting them breed (or whatever they do) in our wastelands would bring us two benefits, I hope:

1. save some species from distinction (which would put us for our Gaian allies even closer to their hearts),
2. save our dry wastelands from being... umm... dry wastelands.

About carrying cages with your plants I will probably deal with a freelancing organisation that's crazy enough to mess with that. After all settled, I might even invite you to a business dinner on one of their liners, but it's too early to mention more about it now.

Modified plants sound funny, but no thanks. I can imagine them playing cute and nice all day, but then bite your lil' ass as soon as you turn it to them. Our Gaian friends will surely try to stop your projects against nature, if they didn't already. They told me you even managed to provoke some nastier creatures than your loco plants. Ones capable of shooting at your orbital research centres, caramba! Ones I certainly wouldn't like to see in my garden!

I feel rather honored from your compliment, but I am not sure if my stubbornes is greater than the ones from our plants.

They just proved that their will to survive is way greater than anyone of us expected. Yet we managed to get some younger sprouts of various plants. Right now my people take care of the plants so they can be transported safely to your planet.

Still I warn you once more these plants are nothing that should be taken lightly, even if your planet is a wasteland right now... If things take the worst possible way they can ruin your planet even more. Plus there is a problem I was informed about by our scientists. These plants are used to the specific nutrition within the soil of Yumas islands, we are working on some kind of fertilizer that fit exactly the rich components of Yuma. So one other possible outcome can be that the plants won't start growing on Crete or die rather soon. Yes there are diffrent possibilites but these two are the ones which will happen most likely.
Since I already know you still wish for the plants I will leave the decision to you but point out that the Crayter Republic will help you once things go downhill with the plants.

The other thing is... We can and will give you some plants. So far so good, but right now this is a rather one sided deal. So since the Elders disagree to a rather neutral or let me say less hostile relation I wonder what the Republic can gain from this.

I hate to bother you with details, but we are already pinning both independent Nomads and their Outcast pets to South Omicrons. I'm sure you noticed less of them on your turf already. To be completely frank with you, that's not something we are doing for you and our "pact". It's simply our daily struggle. There is no pact and there will not be one.

But...

You must keep following info top secret, as it is. We obtained some strange power cell devices and first one we will test soon. In case you insist, we might even test it in Alpha. That surely would keep more defences pinned to Outcast home world, putting even more of their presence out from your backyard.

But I repeat, best way to insist is to have a business dinner with me at FL-ER yacht, orbiting over some neutral territory. In case you accept, feel free to bring some samples of your crazy plants, well closed in metal cages.
