After O'Brians words McIntire had remained silent, exchanging a few words with his secretary but after Wildcat made it very clear she'd rather hold still and let this tumor grow in Bretonias backyard, close to the key industrial and civilian installations in Newcastle, he raised his head, throwing a sharp glance at her, then beginning to speak in a sharp tone that made the many secretaries swarming around the table hold for a second to see who arose the Admirals anger

Admiral Wildcat, may I remind you that the Agencies of Liberty and other allies are long informed about the structures existance and the public does know nothing nonetheless.

His eyes suddenly switched to O'Brian

Madam, I think the if is not really the topic here. After the Nomad thread got so close to New London, closer than ever since the Nomad war, it is imperative that we destroy this dark spot on Bretonias map. I would be surprised if Liberty wasn't willing to help remove the Nomads and their lackeys presence from all corners of Sirius and other friends of Bretonia share our hatred for everything alien. We have a pool of supporters for this strike, I suggest we focus on the how. As far as I'm aware we do not possess the means to penetrate the structures shields as of yet, possibly we need to dedicate more scientists to this task.

However, for me it is out of question we have to burn this structure down to the last bit. We aren't the only ones showing interest in it, the wild presence in Newcastle is unusually high since years, I don't see any other reason for them to focus on this region but the city. If you ask for my opinion, we are sitting on a time bomb.

He let his view wander over all the present Admirals, the Commodore and Steiner again, fixating Wildcat for a split second, then giving a handsign to his secretary to hand him a data pad.

While the various admirals and other assorted officers began their debate, Victor slid into a position near the end of the table. It was almost fortunate he arrived last, he got the end seat away from everyone else, no one facing him, Admiral Wildcat guarding his right flank. It allowed him time to adjust to the situation, being surrounded by the admirals of the fleet was no ones first choice for leave.

He read the file in front of him, all things considered it really was quite interesting. He didn't know anything about admiral Clark but he could already tell she was a highly intelligent woman. The report was sharp and to the point, containing all the relevent details surrounding Darlington. It even containted limited observations on wilde activity around the station. He finished reading and, seeing little point in adding his voice to the growing cacophony, began to consider what the high Admiral had suggested.

What was clear to Victor, right from the off, was that O'Brian was quite correct, with the Gallic invasion making evermore headway, the people assigned to Darlington were fast becoming wasted resources. McIntire's observations on wilde activity were most interesting. If one could arrange for a quick look into Drake from Inverness....The idea vanished as quickly as it came. If The Grimsby was becoming a wasted resource, why would anyone allow him to sneak off for a few days. No..it seemed O'Brian wanted the issue delt with right here, right now. Which explained why she would turn to Bretonian 'Allies'. Unfortunatly, as Clark had already pointed out in her report, there was to be no such quick fix.

So the Question remained: What was to be done? He crossed his arms and furrowed his brow, he was fairly certain that the problem at hand didn't require more guns as McIntire pointed out, but he wasn't caertain more people were needed either. Adding more people into the equation would simple make things more complex and increase the risk of discovery. He thought a bit more before coming to the conclusion that he needed to know more, before he could make a statement, and thus resigned himself to listening to the Admirals for the time being.
