Freeport 11- A convoy of Heavy Trains, bound for Freeport 11 was ambushed this afternoon by a squadron of Outcast Fighters. Sources on Malta has claimed the Dona Kristina Pryde, and Alexander Icarus, where the leaders of the attack. Of the four Trains, two where seriously damaged with massive hull breachs, and a third was crippled and plundered by the Outcasts.

No word as of yet how much this has set back the Jade Consortiums Trading Fleet, but its assumed to be in the millions of Credits. Liberty Naval forces where able to recover the crippled train, with all hands still alive on board.

Reporter: We are here today with Press representative of the Jade Consortium, Xerxas Jade,

Xerxas: Today one of our trading convoys was attacked on a standard trading run to the omicrons, our trains first encountered resistance on route to Freeport 11 when they came under fire from multiple Outcast fighters. The crews of the transports made a incredible effort and managed to make it to the station in tack suffering only slight damage.

However due to circumstances out of our control the convoy was forced to then leave the station and make a run for the safety of liberty. And this task proved to be just to big of a ask. With only three of our four transports returning under there own power of these three ships that returned all three were incredibly crippled missing most of the weapons and hull breaches on almost all decks.

The one ship that didnt make it put up a valiant effort but the skill of the outcast pilot Dona Pryde was just to superior and the ship was forced to surrender when the power core started to go critical and all its defenses had been detroyed leaving the ship dead in the water.

However not everything went as bad as it could have today. The boarding party of outcasts after acquiring what they wanted left the ship with life-support intact and the entire crew unharmed with its distress beckon still functioning so that Liberty patrols could locate and rescue the survivors.

This attack significantly hurt the confederation with losses of over 15million credits and the loss of our safe passage guaranteed reputation the impact may end up immeasurable if we are unable to regain customer faith in our service

I have also heard a rumour from Zoner technician at the Freeport 11 bar that unknown Corsair pirate died in Alaska system while trying to finish what was started by the Outcasts, killed by his own Supernova Mine. Whether it was a technical failure of his fighter or lack of his pilot skills remains the question.
Maybe someone from survived Jade Consortium crew saw something more...
