Hey Elena.. It's been a while since either of have heard from each other. I know you're probably busy and all, but I have, what, three friends I can turn to? Well.. I need some advice, really. I've come to a point where, I'm questioning why I stay in the Navy. I know what I'd end up doing as a freelancer wouldn't be any safer but I've never actually experienced being a freelancer. I'm really on edge about what I want to do but I don't want to blindly do something I'm not up to either. What I'm wondering is.. should I stay in the Navy? The only thing keeping me here is my husband really.. But I have no idea what it's like outside of military service. Yea I got all these fancy medals and crap, but they're not that important outside of the Navy, but I fear if I stay my clocks going to run out one of these days, really soon. I can just feel it. What do you think I should do..?

I'm sorry for the kind of late reply, but I had my mailbox on shutdown for the last few days. I hope you haven't worried too much, already - would have been unnecessary anyways.
As for your question, I'm afraid that I don't feel like I can actually help you with that, Nicole. It's a very personal decision, and if you ask me, I'm probably the person you should ask for advise the least right now. I don't mean to turn you down or anything, but still. There are probably people that are more the ones to go to than me. Your husband, for example.
If I was to give a piece of advise though, it would probably be this one: if you don't feel home in the Navy no more, it would be quite sensible to make a step forward. I mean, it's a clear sign that something is wrong with how things go for you now, right?
