A lone Murmilo-class war vessel, anchored and maintaining radio silence , it blended perfectly with the omega 5 asteroid field. The ship maintained complete radio silence, watching, listening , learning. Even a small pin drop could be heard echoing in the ship from the bridge to the engine room.
A dark room filled with sound proofing and an observing mirror is seen. A man unconscious but alive and badly injured can be seen treated by doctors.
"Wake him up and get out now"
A silhouette of a women in her mid 20's can be seen, a loud screech is heard as she pulls a chair around, She gently lays back on the chair and opens a beer.
"Captain Edmund Steiner, Welcome aboard the yoshimura, I hope you remember me".
The pain in his chest was strong, like someone has taken a hammer to it. His head likewise hurt, a throbbing dull and deep pain that showed no signs of abating anytime soon. A voice had spoken, addressing him by is rank, it was apparent by the accent he was not with Bretonians. Given the warning he was given in space, he assumed that meant he was with Corsairs. Although he could hardly remember who with specifically.
''W..who are you?...where am I?'' he stammered to the doctors standing over him.
His memories were slowly returning although nothing was clear. The battle over Sprauge, the Corsair he met three days ago, Yoshimura all of it was coming back. For every memory he had two questions, his headache only served to slow his mental capacity down. He struggled briefly with a doctors hand but was easily overpowered.
Death, he feared, was not far away.
The room was fitted with a speaker, two armed gaurds come in and uncuff steiner.
Captain Edmund Steiner, I hope we didnt get off the wrong foot. We brought you in for a reason, Something you might quite not agree but you will still need to open your mouth.
kasandra takes a deep breath
Edmund, I killed my father. Traitors of the nation will never go unpunished. I knew my father was going to settle in cambridge, Poor old man thought it would bring him peace. You should've seen the look on his face, i enjoyed it throughly. Although i regret stabbing the only family like figure i had, Traitors of the Corsair shall be slayed at all costs.
His head still throbbed with pain. He was uncertain how long he had been unconscious, a day? Maybe two. The confusion was evident when he spoke.
''Yes..I do''
Edmund wasn't a brave man, he knew his duty and he knew what he had to do. But all he really wanted was to go home. How he'd manage that he had yet to figure out, but he knew, that if he was clever enough, or shrewd enough, he'd do it. The girl who had captured him wasn't what he was expecting. One moment she was full of rage, ego and self confidence, like she had been in space. The next she seemed sad, lonely and forlorn. He didn't know what to make of it, perhaps it was a ruse, perhaps he wasn't seeing things right. Maybe she was insane, or maybe he was. Either way, he was uncuffed, and that wasn't a bad thing. Or it was, since the guards threw him a crude space suit and left.
"Mr steiner, in about 10 mins, i'll eject you into space. In about 3 days you'll start having a mild pain in your neck, in about 4 days you'll visit the doctor, in about 5 days you'll not be able to open your eyes. in 7 days you'll go into a coma, in 9 days all your body parts will stop functioning, in 10 days you'll die. "
"you see i'm not a women of honor or morale nor do i have any dignity left, i only want to win never-mind the consequences. I'll go to any length do achieve this, unfortunately you are in my cross hairs now. Now, Please do understand i mean all the harm in the world to you, i hope you and every other bretonian die a horrible death. i'll kill you guys myself if needed."
"Now the real reason why i wanted to contact you...... You'll know it once you return to me for your life, none of the doctors in bretonia will be able to figure out what i did or will be able to save your life. Over and out, take a blanket Mr Edmund, Space is cold."
The mention of him being blown out the airlock had him scrambling for the space suit.
''You're insane!'' he shouted at the voice over the intercomm ''If you think I'm coming back, You're mad!'' He didn't know if she was joking or not but if the speed the guards left at was any indicator, he knew she was dead serious about the airlock. ''Lets get on with it'' he said as he zipped the suit closed ''Do your worst witch''
