Esteemed leaders of the Corsair Empire.
I am Warden Collins, successor of Warden Hitcher as the leader of the Guard. Over the past few months, it has come to my, and my colleagues', attention that the Empire seems to have a radically different approach to the conflict ravaging Bretonia space. The differing approaches have already led to tensions between us and various subgroups of the Empire, and the Guard is worried that the situation might detoriate our relations with your people as a whole.
As such, we have elected not to make the Empire's mistake and ask before acting. What is the Empire's alignment in the war? What are the Empire's plans for the region? Has the Empire reached an accord with Gallia? Why has the Empire not consulted their local allies beforehand?

Saludos Senorita Lily,
Firstly, my apologies for the delay in answering your message. Paperwork here on Crete has a tendency to pile up higher than one may like, and working through it all causes enough headaches to make all-day siesta very tempting. But, that is the price to pay for keeping our forces organized, so someone needs do it.
Now, you mentioned tensions between yourselves and Corsairs over the Gallic Invasion? That is no good senorita, not at all. Let's see if I can answer your questions, si? The Corsair Imperium is own it's own side in this war- we have no interesting siding with Gallia, only to receive the scraps they do not want for themselves, nor do we think they would tolerate us were they to claim all of Bretonia.
To say we have reached some sort of... accord with Gallia would be an overstatement of something that does not even exist. While there was some negotiations between us, not long after they look Leeds, I think, it did not lead anywhere, and there is no formal agreement, on anything, between us. We simply both find the Armed Forces, and the various traders, of Bretonia as a common foe, and rich targets. So I'm sure they find our raiders useful now, but if it were to become their ships on the receiving end, I'm sure that would change quickly.
And as for why you weren't contacted earlier... that would be a question to ask Beltran, were he still around. Unfortunately, he has been gone for months now, and is likely no longer in the realm of the living.
I hope this answers all of your questions, senorita. It would be a shame to lose the Gaian Guard as our ally. And I take if, from your questions, that the Guard is moving against the Gallic invasion, si?
