Firstly, I'll say this on behalf of both myself, but Captain Kalh as well, that we thank you for your restraint yesterday. While I understand your dedication to seeing to the border control of Rheinland, I'll put it here for the record that both myself and Kalh have Rheinland's best interests at heart.

The Nomads are on the rise again Director, and to our knowledge have even infiltrated the Order's primary body, not to mention some high ranking positions in some of the houses. Our goal in Rheinland was to get an idea of the Houses' readiness level, based on combinations of fleet size, active civilian and military assets, gross overall defensive buildup and if possible the help of the local authorities. I'd rather not reenact the events of Manhattan, 800 again, and quietly getting an idea seemed better than an outright test of your military response.
Given the Order's compromised status, I'm looking to the Houses and their intelligence divisions, and perhaps even their domestic lawfuls, for support in this. It's no secret that this new arising proto-invasion will take more than just a rag-tag group of scoundrels, freelancers and traitors to deal with.

I'll await your response. No doubt I just threw a whole load of patriotic jargon at you. Hopefully some of it will stick, since I'm genuinely tired of the Order screwing everything up.

You must realise what you're asking me right now, Fleet details, active civilian and military assets, gross overall defence build up? Alright, as of currently, this is all the details I'm able to provide with clearance of the security council. I've had to dig through the documents to give an accurate measure for you:

We got two bicycles, a few janitors from the office with a pair of training pistols and a few wooden palettes rigged as cover. We have to be careful because our budget cuts put them down to 3 rounds a week.

In absolutely no way, are we listing off what we have and throwing them at your feet like the daily newspaper delivery. I suggest you work your part before coming to us and asking for sensitive details like printing things off the public neural net. In no way is a "proto-invasion" ever going to take place under my watch, not after my reforms. So keep it out of your business, you're in my state, not some wild west Omicrons.

Don't break any more of my house laws, because you've certainly made a fantastic first impression. Order or not, you still seem to carry over the high headed attitude that you feel like everything should be working for you without question.

Director.

Rheinland's assurance of it's defenses is all good and well, but like last time we still have no idea of just how capable the Nomads and their thralls are. With the Order acting on behalf of an insane megalomaniac intent on creating an empire, they're even less trustworthy than any report may say. Hence why I'm looking to the Houses for help this time.

I understand entering Rheinland with a load of warships, however tame they honestly are, wasn't smart. I'll admit that. Regardless, they were equipped for it, and in the end were ultimately harmless to your populace. They caused no harm, and if anything I think they may have distracted pirates.

I don't want to demand anything, Director. If anything, I want to offer our support. Even with your confidence in your defenses, no one line is always impenetrable. There will be cracks that build up over time. Don't mistake it for an insult, but rather a realization. I don't want Rheinland to fall like it did last time.

As a show of honesty, I'll ask what the fine was for our intrusion. I'll have the credits wired, and hopefully we can put this unfortunate first contact behind us.
