Programme d'Instruction et d'Entraînement au Pilotage (PIEP)
Bonjour men and women of the Marine this is Lieutenant de Vaisseau Eloi Leclerc. High Command has recently deemed it necessary to institute a training programme for our pilots. A programme I will be in charge of its planning and administration . Any questions regarding PIEP should be directed to me, so without further adieu lets get into the details.
Goals of Programme d'Instruction et d'Entraînement au Pilotage
- Help promote confidence and forge a strong Espirit de Corp amongst the Gallic fighter groups.
- Increase the efficacy of pilots in group fights as well as solo dogfights.
- Provide a route for pilots to show their capabilities and earn recognition amongst the Marine.
Who may attend Programme d'Instruction et d'Entraînement au Pilotage
Whilst PIEP is primarily meant for those amongst the MRG, any pilot who is a part of any GRN fleet, the GRP, or the GRI may and are encouraged join the programme. The programme is drop in and drop out so no prior sign up is required, merely show up at the designated time and space.
The primary ship used will be the Lynx. Though use of the Serval, Caracal, Moonbeam, or the Sunbeam is acceptable. Bombers will be either the Cougar Light Bomber or the Eclipse Civilian Bomber.
What occurs during Programme d'Instruction et d'Entraînement au Pilotage.
There will be mainly two exercises used, that is dog fighting pairs and wing vs wing fights. Additional exercises to practice specific skills may also show up.
The dog fighting training is fairly straight forward, we will pair up pilots for them to spar against each other. You are more than welcomed to request who to spar with as well.
For group combat we will separate pilots into two groups, Gold group and Blue group. Individuals may request to be the group leaders during a fight responsible for calling targets and coordinating their wing. This is a great opportunity to grow confidence in leadership in a controlled environment.
The times and place for Programme d'Instruction et d'Entraînement au Pilotage.
Weekly PIEP sessions will take place on Saturdays at 18:00 UTC. Additional sessions may be scheduled by me or others. These extra sessions will be listed and noted in this channel.
The location will be Languedoc in the F5 sector, Nimes will be used as a staging post for activities during sessions.
oorp: The plan is to have this become a regular casual mini-event to give people an opportunity to practice snub pvp, or just be a fun place to shoot people while being more organized than going to Connecticut.

*clears throat*
As the current holder of the position L'As des As, I will take over leading the PIEP from this day forward. *grins*
Just as stated by Lieutenant de Vaisseau Eloi Leclerc, who will is in charge of the organizational part of this programme, anyone is invited.
Usually I would start of by saying that His Majesty's Marine has no place for the weak. However this is a totally different situation. Here the strong will help build up the weak, and the weak will be made strong. With that said, do not expect me to become your bon ami, for I take my job seriously and will have no mercy. I am here to cure your weakness, and I will shape you in to something worthy to fight in His Majesty's Marine.
*spits on floor*
So, if you still have the couilles poilues to show up, you will find us Saturdays at 18:00 UTC in the Languedoc system, sector F5.
I recommend you to subscribe to this feed... as updates and additional confirmation and information will be broad-casted here.
