Admirals and Commodores of the Board,

You will no doubt be aware that a few months ago I took my leave, stepping away from my post as Admiral of the Fleet. You may not be aware that this was a result of developments in my personal life, namely the death of my Father. It was my choice not to share this with you, as I struggled with my own grief. I have come to terms with this, and tied up any and all loose ends that required my immediate attention.

When I joined as an officer of Her Majesty's Armed Forces, I took an oath to defend the people the the realm to my dying breath. In the past few weeks, this has taken much of my attention.

My Point?

I cannot sit at home wallowing in self pity, when there is a greater cause that demands my attention.

Ergo, I formally submit my request for reinstatement to the board for your perusal. I have not followed affairs, so you'll have to bring me up to speed with the latest postings of the Board, and a new posting for me. I assume someone else took the mantle of the New London, Suffolk and York fleets?

It is good to hear you want to return to service, moreso that you are better. You are quite right about the Fleets, I took command over them upon appointment.
You are hereby reinstated in the rank of Admiral, the Harlow can need a new commanding officer considering the development of the war. I think you would be very well suited for commanding the ship.
Report to the Admiralty Headquaters at the earliest convenience, we'll have a lot to talk about.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I have responded to Battlegroup Harlow command, and updated the groups orders. They stand ready for whatever Her Majesty's Armed Forces require of us.

I have another item I wished to bring to your attention. Upon going through old Neural Net messages on my Admiralty line, I stumbled across this. It was sent by myself many moons ago, and was a precursor to my induction to the board at the rank of Commodore. Was overseen by (ex)Admiral Hall. I'd like to request it's reassignment to the Harlow at the earliest convenience. It's sat in drydock far too long. I'll take a shuttle over the the Board shortly.

I was unaware of the ship altogether to be perfectly honest, it must have spent the best part of the war in a hangar. It has been given a new crew and reassigned to the Harlow, I am sure you will make good use of this rig.
