I know we have spoken only two or three times, and you have no reason to trust me. Similarly, I have no reason to trust you. That being said, I have only one goal in this message. I would like to know the status of Marshall Station.

I care not for its armaments or weapons, or the condition of the station itself. I only care for the people. How many were killed in today's attack by the Union? Were there any civilians among them? Does the station have sufficient medical supplies and personnel to care for them?

I need more detail on the human cost of today's attack. Any information you can share that is not classified would be appreciated.

I am surprised enough that you so much took risks to ask me this. It is true that we met several times. Nevertheless I was never really for the peace. A simple logical reasoning made me reconsider any hope of a possible agreement.

But let's get down to the facts. It is strange but I have the feeling to hear of the hoarse voice of Arbeitsdirektor Corin behind you, the Old Fool Man, pulling the strings isn't it?

Yesterday you under the orders of this disturbed man, you friends bombarded the Marshall Station with NEMP torpedo. We can think that the indescribable sensation of pleasure that is to make these enemies suffer by give it them back the ball; had consumed the Old Corin.

I was on the Marshall Station when the attack took place. I saw the torpedo go to the base without any resistance. However I did not feel fear or any sentiments like this one. To tell you, I even laughed.

Do you think that I am crazy like the other one who is behind you? Corin lives in a dream and the light of which is the sun of Bering. In your opinion, why did you not ask me situation of the station, of its battles capacities? For you, as for the old man it is obvious not?

The feeling of euphoria of the revenge shows you things which do not exist. Because it is a man who sees himself as a prophet liberator of his people bruised enemies coming straight from hell without to make any plays on words. The History repeats. Once again. The restoration of a lost Empire … The feeling to have been humbled, betrayed, suffered no allies or other devils is a recurring history in that of Rheinland and the same for centuries behind. This feeling absolved from revenge is intimately bound to you and your people. But look around you. Many of your people seem to have forgotten.

Then I am going to give you a piece of advice. See the history in the past as far as possible and if you do it, you will see far in the future. The same thing will occur for the Union.

You now want to have your answer? Very well. You have already given me valuable informations during our meetings then … I send the ball back to you. Unfortunately it risks to destroy all the illusory dreams of this good old Corin. But now he is too late. The reality catches up us all a given a moment, and it is I believe, one of the biggest dramas of the humanity.

Does Corin think that the station is partially destroyed? What it does not remain more than has to launch the final assault on our strengths which appear in his dreams already collapsing? All this is false. Sorry to break your dreams. But the Marshall Station is still alive, certainly shaken but always operational. You need to make much more to manage to make us bend.

Naturally, there are casualties. I even don’t know if we have some dead or not. But all this is very unimportant and affects not at all our number or our capacities. I am going to tell it you, was it only a useless wasting. Do you thus see Hunter and Old Fool Man? The reality is more hurtful than we believe it.

I thus go you let digest it. If your Arbeitsdirektor wishes to speak, then do it.

I deserve your hostility. If I had known what was going to happen when I was called into action yesterday, I would not have participated. I wasn't asking about Marshall for intelligence reasons. I was asking because I care. So many people have died over this fight, so many lives lost...and I regret it. I regret every single life lost on both sides of this war. I came out here as a pilot knowing I would have to kill, but I never expected to be responsible for a massacre. And I never, ever intended on killing a civilian.

Yesterday, watching that detonation, I saw it as clear as day. Except, in my nightmares, that detonation was against my own home. My own family. In seeing that blast yesterday, I saw the deaths of my family, and my friends, and everyone I have ever cared about since childhood. That is the effect that yesterday has had on me.

I realize you may not believe me, and I get that. I am not some puppet without a mind of his own, Yann. I'm discouraged to hear that you never really thought peace was a possibility. I feel lied to, and that you were dishonest with me. I suppose I should have expected that too. Whether you have faith in me or not, peace is my ultimate goal. We were allies once, fighting against our respective houses - albeit for different reasons. We should be supporting each other, supporting Bering as a sanctuary for all oppressed by the Houses and the corporations. We could do that, together, if we could get past this bickering.

Yesterday, the Admiral responsible for the NEMP attack told me that blackening my soul was inevitable, and that it would be necessary to win this war. I disagree. There has to be another way, and it is on people like you and I to find it, if our leaders cannot. I refuse to allow that to happen, Yann, because when I go home to Munich, I need to be able to face my parents and my brother, and those I care about, and still be able to claim some shred of humanity. If events like what happened yesterday continue, then all will be lost, and we are no better than the Nomads who would simply destroy us all - if we don't destroy each other first.

Please, I beg you...consider what I have to say. Peace can be an option, somehow. The Lane Hackers want the Union to have new leadership. I don't know what Harmony wants, or what it would take to end this...but give me some direction. Tell me what I can do, what we can do, to end this. Further escalation will only kill more people. Are you really so willing to continue to watch lives end over this?

I think it is a surprise (nice or not) that I contact you again. There are several reasons for this. I recently learnt that a certain Unioner group wants to end the war by another approach. So I thought you would be part of this cell as you mentionned many times you were for the peace.

I will ignore the several insults and depreciations that you have shouted at our last meeting. Already it makes me laugh but whatever. You probably think I will try and that if I place myself according to your point of view, to manipulate you or to lie once again.

You must know one thing. I didn’t manipulate or lie to you. I always have been for peace between Harmony and the Unioners and yet recent events seem to prove the opposite. There is indeed a certain misunderstanding, but of course it's up to you to hear it or not.

Why did I suddenly show some hostility after our meeting? Because you mentioned without knowing it and it was not your fault, the name that you shouldn't have to mention.

Do you remember that? It's time for you to know one thing. The real manipulator in this story, the real liar, is this Shadowwalker. Oh no! Do not tell me your insults yet. Let me first show you why. I will keep for me this time the word that annoys you: "infected". When Shadowwalker arrived in Bering, I tried to find out what those intentions were. I then learnt that he had sympathized with the Union and I immediately cut off all communications. There is obviously a reason for that.

You're not telling me anything about Shadowwalker that I don't already know. I'm aware of his relationship with the Nomads. He's been up front with me about where he stands with them. I also have evidence - actual evidence - that he is not infected. The relationship may be irregular, but right now it is not an immediate threat to Rheinland or to humanity. I have not witnessed him and the Nomads taking any human life - unlike Harmony, or Frei, or Shultszky.

If you really want to help the peace process, get me in touch with Admiral Linford. I don't trust you, Yann. You mocked my desire for peace, and you presumed that my questions about the human lives lost on Marshall Station were intended as a cruelty. Unless you have something more than impugning someone I care about to earn my trust, I'd prefer to hear from her instead of you going forward.

I will achieve peace, Commander. Just watch me.

You ask for peace while you proclaim loud and clear that you guarantee that your friend has a great relationship with the Nomads.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but it does not work that way. Do you think Admiral Linford will be more lenient? Either you are naive or I do not know. She still gave the order to kill you personally and you think she will accept to hear you?
