Other than roleplaying, do the ID's actually have any other purpose? - and if not, is it possible to be called by BOUNTY HUNTER 1-1, as opposed to freelancer 1-1 all the time....
Lastly, the scanner. The range that it claims to have, is this the range of your radar.. or the range that you are able to scan cargo... Then again, theres a statistic for exactly that Cargo scan range or something along those lines...
anywho, don't flame or tell me I'm an idiot.. I already know that... and I've just started using this mod for multiplayer use.. after using it all the way thru single player and beyond....
so yeah, a link or a simple explanation would be great! thanks!

Can't happen. Thats a part of the game that cannot be changed. The only variations are Freelancer 1-1 and Freelancer 1-2, 1-3 and so on until you get to 2-1 and over again.

There HAS to be SOME sort of trigger that causes the AI to tell whom it's talking to... I mean it know's everybody elses names!!!
It's probably hidden deep within the coding and JUST needs to be let out ;)
It's inside the mesh, some of the things that can't seem to be modd. After all, they don't want you to completely redo the game =D
The hidden meshes includethings such as the way NPC's inside planets or bases move, so you can't make one dance =D, you can't make other kinds of missions.
I think a simple fix to the "Freelancer alpha 1-1" problem would be if someone could locate the audio file that speaks the word freelancer and replace it with the one that says bounty hunter, but that seems to be embedded in the .utf files which I don't know how to decode, otherwise I'd make a mod to choose your own "Display" voice so to speak.. Then again when the NPC's com another player your going to hear them called the same thing as you, regardless if your a pirate and they are police or vice versa...
