I already asked for this in the past but I forgot to ask following.
When it comes to character activity. It's enough to undock and dock, buy and sell something. But now when I undocked, few of my ships haven't appeared on the tracker activity. I undocked and docked really fast. Is that enough to not get my characters deleted because of their inactivity?
I keep my Bank Ships alive purely by undocking and the docking. I have not had any problems to date.

That is interesting.
I have been told that ship/character will be deleted, if following conditions are met:
- Total time (online): less than 30 minutes
(Learnt it the hard way, after my freshly created ships disappeared after a week.)
- The timestamp on ship/character save file is older than 180 days.
So I guess when you log the character, the "total time" changes, resulting in updating the save file and thus its timestamp.
I personally sell Nanobots,ShieldBats, or CMs on all my ships. Then I wait a week or so, then log them again and let Autobuy function buy them back.
I do this to be sure in case there is a rollback right after I refresh my ships for the first time.
P.S.: It would be nice, if the ships were not deleted, but rather "archived". Such ships could be then easily returned, after the person proves they own login details for that game account. It might even be a web/forum function.
Ships with less than 10 minutes of activity will be deleted after 1 week of inactivity. ( I usually suggest getting a bit more time than 10 minutes, to be safe).
Ships that have not been active for 6 months will automatically be deleted.
As for storing Ships, I would hate to think how many Ships would have been archived in the life of this Server (it would possibly be in the hundreds of thousands).

I will just add, that some, or maybe all restarts now, have less than 10 minutes "total time" activity. So one might actually restart, buy a ship, equip it with basic gear and still have less than 10 minutes of activity. Lost 100M this way.
I would like to think how many ships would be resurrected from their graves and flown again. Although I wonder how big would be an archive with hundreds of thousands ships.
