Nothing serious, I just wanted to know how's it going out there. With recent drama our communication channels become silent and I've got some emotional bounds to your Freeport, as it's my PoB.
Also I'd love to find out more about Zoner Initiative, if you know more than me of course. I'd like to know your opinion in this matter, I heard Von Cloud is behind it again.
It's a pleasure to hear from you. Freeport 11 is currently in a very good shape and we've rejuvenated well from the latest NEMP strike a few months ago. The Zoner Community helped us upgrading the station, adding a second bio dome, reinforcing the hull and adding a medium capital mooring spot. Things are finally getting better here.
I hope things are fine in Omega-41 as well. I frequently hear stories from visitors about the battle rock of 41. Is your medical supply working with all the trouble in the Omegas? If not, just say so. We can help you with the anti-rad meds from the Sigmas.
As for this Initiative thing. Well, I guess I can open up the comms I received from them. I don't like the idea, or well, at least not under the current leadership. VonCloud and Goodman aren't known for diplomatical approaches. In fact they are quite petulant, stubborn and short-tempered, which is quite well visible in the transmission history. They got their positions within the community for their administrative skills, not for their experience on the battlefield or the embassy. Because of that I refused to associate with them. We had enough trouble with the CoF as a governing body. We don't need a replacement with even less control instances. That is my opinion, at least.
Does that answer your questions, Miss Malakai? Should you ever need a break from 41, feel free to visit us in Delta. It is quite calm here right now, which is rare.
May I call you like that? I am not really into pleasantries like calling you by your surname, unless you strictly demand it. Do not take it by mistake however, I respect you.
My predecessor pretty much didn't care about this station and the crew on board, leaving it pretty much unprotected before nature. Under my era I've so far saved most of the station, storages however were our primary goal because of a very simple reason even farmer would understand. Shortage of the food and its exposure to radiation. It's not fully effective, nothing is, but more than 90% of radiation is absorbed or bounced back into space.
I like this challenge however and I respect you and your crew. We both are fighting with extremes, you fight with people, I fight with the nature, that's something compared to other Freeports like 10 or 9.
Thank you for your offer, Saskia, I however am not able to leave my station in near future, I have yet to oversee upgrades in progress.
Now to the final point... Zoner Initiative, I am glad you are able to provide me with needed information. I was contacted by Goodman myself, however he didn't even bother to reply again.
Let's face it, I am seeking somebody I can rely on and I believe Freeport 11 and you are the best option. I also would like to strengthen relationship between our Freeports for future opportunities. What do you think?
Also you are free to visit bar and restaurant here on 5th Freeport, however be aware, it's still partly under construction.
I'll make sure to come over to pay you a visit once the Canaria-Pygar migration wave is over and the Omegas become calm again. I've heard there have been plenty of smaller skirmishes in your neighbouring systems, between Corsairs and Hessians. I sort of envy you: Only two major groups to deal with. When Order and Core aren't biting into each other's butts on my station, we've Maltese and Cretans, religious fanatics, self-proclaimed Nomad hunters and egocentric people from all over Sirius and lately even Gallia lurking around to cause trouble. And every now and then an alien or two.
That being said, I like your offer. Freeport 11, because of its ideal location in the very center of the tamed Omicrons, can easily access a wide variety of commodities that frequently get shipped to my station. Most of our own profits come from minor trading taxes and the refinery of Iridium ore harvested in Delta and the mysterious Omicron Lost. While the Ennibeck Spaceport is cutting into our profits, it at least provides a bit more integrity to Delta. So should you need help in organizing materials for your station, I'm certain Freeport 11 can help you with your efforts. We're also producing a little surplus of food with the new hydroponics section of our new dome, so should you crave some fresh food over radiation-soaked potatoes, a small transport can surely be provided.
We've received a message from a lone Zoner who apparently identified a new nomad worshipper piloting the RV-Pennybrooke, apparently going by the name Katherine. The evidence seems to be confirming that much although we don't have any visuals on the ship or the person in question. Just a heads-up from me in case the ship should arrive at your pebble.
I am glad you've informed me in advance. We haven't heard anything, but I'll make sure this person is under our watch if it is going to appear nearby. Please inform me if you are going to take some "serious" steps in the future.
