Following a strategic meeting of Liberty Navy Taskforce 7 commanding the homefront, we've come to the agreement that we must take immediate action to re-secure supply lines into Manchester. Following tactical analysis and operational feasibility, I reach out to you to ask for Bretonian cooperation in a joint mission to rid Cortez of Gallic presence so once more we can easily allow rapid delivery of much needed supplies to Bretonia.
To this end we would like to request if it is possible for Battleship Harlow and her forces link up with Battleships Yukon and Alma's combined forces for a swift offensive in Cortez to eradicate the Gallic taskforce present. Doing so would not only free up our supply lines, but free up an additional taskforce for deployment to aid the war effort rather than concerning itself with having to suffer an irritant on the supply route.

Before we commit to your plan, we would like to know a few things in advance. Firstly, since your proposed attack is taking place in Cortez will the Crayterian Republic be joining us?
We should like to know whether or not your command has taken into account the strong possibility of failure. We fear that an assault on Cortez would leave both Manchester and California vulnerable to Battlegroup Carcassonne. Furthermore we ask for your plans on how to Hold the system in the event is is successfully taken.
With these questions answered we can begin to seriously consider your offer, although for the time being we will refrain from making any concrete promises given our situation in the Capital.

We have reached out to the Crayter Military in regards to what material assistance they can offer in this operation and they are currently assessing what forces to dedicate but have pledged support to this operation. Following the operation, Yukon and her forces will remain in the system as a vanguard to ensure Gallic raiders do not interrupt this line. As for our home front, recon and tactical assessments put Battlegroup Caraossone in too vulnerably positioned, being under supplied and more or less without any direct support from Gallic supply lines to laaunch any meaningful operations against the garrison in California. Nonetheless we plan to have a contingent Carrier taskforce protect our rear led by Carrier Enterprise to ensure Gallia doesn't get any smart moves or think of slipping off while we're not looking. If this tactical assessment changes, we are not against deploying one of our home defence fleets to the system should the need arise.

To provide an update for you as tactical planning of this offensive continues, Crayter Military Admiral Westbrook has allocated a dreadnought taskforce based in Coronado to this operation to provide support for our forces, however given their engagements on other fronts, this operation would be spearheaded by the Alma and Harlow taskforces should BAF be willing to commit to this plan.
If you have concerns or questions, please feel free to bring them up.
You have the Harlow Fleet sir. I will order it to be made battle ready as quickly as possible so she may be able to assist you in this task. Admiral O'Brian is in command of that fleet, she will be seconded to your Fleet admiral for the duration of this assault.
Please bear in mind that we would greatly appreciate it if losses were kept to an absolute minimum since Manchester will be left largely open and we have no means to replace lost ships at current. None the less, I wish you well in this assault.

I thank you for allocating Harlow and her forces to this operation. Our battleplan was made in mind to keep Bretonian casualties nonexistent or at worst minimized, with the ease of retreat if things take a bad turn. Liberty will be taking the bulk of the firepower, we've made every effort to ensure this. Operation Vanguard will be launched soon, and if things go according to plan, fresh supplies will be arriving in Bretonia in little more than a day after success.
