It's with horrified expressions that I send you this message. We've received information that Bretonia has recently initiated hostilies against the Guild and battles have broken out in southern Bretonia. First and foremost, Liberty condemns Bretonia's behavior of what's happening and you'll find no Liberty Navy pilots, ships or warships assisting Bretonian forces in this operation.
To make Liberty's position perfectly clear: There will not be a state of hostilities between Liberty and IMG as a result of this. 5th Fleet forces have been instructed to not assist Bretonian forces against IMG forces nor will we take kindly to lent Liberty equipment being used against you. IMG ships, barring capital warships, are welcome inside Liberty and we will welcome any fleeing non-combatant Guild ships attempting to escape Bretonian aggression. Any ships that feel they cannot safely reach Liberty from inside Bretonia, Liberty will escort you safely to our borders.
We will also see about Bretonia's aggressive actions. I wish your miners and transports safe skies, and on a personal note, not related to any official stance, I wish your defense forces good luck.
Thank you for your assurances. Of course we had assumed that this was an action that the Kingdom has Bretonia has committed to on their own, we did not expect their allies in the Republic of Liberty to follow suit and are relieved to have our assumptions confirmed.
As much as we sympathize with the positions of both houses in the conflict, their demand was not something we could agree to. Rest assured the Guild also maintains its cordial stance towards the Republic of Liberty, and of course we would be most thankful for any diplomatic pressure you could apply on your ally to end their aggression, and perhaps seek alternative solutions to the ship production issue they claim as grounds for attacking us.
