Comrades in arms,

Greetings from the Battlegroup Stirling Command,
As commander of operations within Omega 49, I am responsible for the safety of its residents, and for the well being of the servicemen and women of our house. In addition, also with our allies in this theater I hope to work with closely.

Based upon reports from Cambridge on Corsair movements southwards, I am left to believe this system will become a war-zone once more. The Corsairs were slow to react to our taking of the planet, but their reaction was expected.

If I were at the command of a great fleet, I would have no doubt in our ability to hold this system. However, the Stirling is no great fleet, in this I must be honest. While we are not as vulnerable as the Gwent was, compared to the Norfolk Fleet that is marching unstoppable on Aland as we speak, we are less. Should a Corsair Battlegroup arrive in Omega 49, victory is by no means certain. In the event that we are routed, I have issued orders that maximum damage be inflicted on the heavy assets of the Corsairs, to at least prevent orbital bombardment of the forces on the ground. That being said, if they attain superiority in space, an invasion may commence on the planet.

In order to effectively prepare for a ground invasion, all ground forces are hereby ordered to start construction of bombardment shelters, military-grade bunkers, minefields, urban fortifications, and evacuation points for civilians. It will take a considerable effort on the Corsairs part to successfully invade the planet areas controlled by our forces, and to my knowledge, they do not have a fraction of the experience we do, as such we may expect to see Corsair landings on uncontrolled land masses, where they will attempt to gain control of the surface piece by piece, avoiding heavily fortified areas. In this case, mobile units will be employed to disrupt these landings to the best of their ability.

Even if we fall, we will not fall in vain, our efforts are preventing Corsairs from reaching the capital, and when the capital is free, we will be reinforced, and the full might of Bretonia will fall upon them.
