My name is Nathaniel Zac, Paladin of The Core under Guildmaster Nathaniel Archos. I come to you bearing grave concerns regarding recent events that took place in the heart of Liberty.

In the very early hours of the 25th APR 826 AS I was dispatched to move a small amount of fleet assets to the Omega-55 system to reinforce our presence in the sector. I was captaining the Mako class Battleship "Decimari" and was escorted by two members of The Core Secondary Fleet, both piloting snubcraft vessels. To this extent we were to make use of the Jump Drive technology available on said Battleship to travel quickly and unnoticed between regions, however, due to faulty coordinates or a drive malfunction we found ourselves floating in the New York system shortly after engaging the Jump sequence.

At this point we had no idea if there was an issue with the Jump Drive module itself, coordinates were corrupt or if the crew handling the device committed a human error in entering them. While not having enough fuel to make a jump back to the Omicrons and being very well aware of involuntarily violating the Laws Of Liberty regarding foreign Capital Ships I made the call to come out clean and state our presence in the system to the lawful forces, instead of continuously trespass our way back through other Liberty systems and raising alarms to other Houses as well.

We proceeded to Planet Manhattan where our ships were orbiting while my crew was assessing the situation with the drive, expecting to encounter the local lawful squadrons to whom we were to explain our situation and request an escort out of Liberty space. Unfortunately this never happened as we never saw a single friendly ship while orbiting the Planet. What did happen, however, is that a large number of hostile forces intercepted us right in front of the docking ring where they carelessly opened fire on our ships. These hostiles were composed of Auxesian and Lane Hacker forces, a handfull of bombers and a Cruiser class vessel on the Auxesia side. They we're double our numbers and prepared for battle, hence the skirmish led to the destruction of the ships piloted by my escorts as well as very heavy damage inflicted on the Decimari Battleship, whose wreck is currently sustaining exceptional repair efforts at Norfolk Shipyard. Even if my fellow Core pilots and myself managed to abort our ships before their imminent termination, I have lost a considerable chunk of my crew in the relentless assault committed in the heart of Liberty.

This situation raises grave concerns on how Liberty forces chose their allies or to express a neutral stance towards organizations like the Auxesia who eagerly share arms with criminals such as the Lane Hackers and open fire across an extremely populated civilian hub without any repercussions, actions which were not even met with reaction from the nearby stations defenses. I'm hoping to receive some sort of explanation to why such endeavors are allowed and why the presence of your forces has been replaced by criminals and fanatics, or at least some form of assurance that actions will be taken against such terrorists attacks and attitudes manifested by mentioned party.

Your reporting is certainly intriguing, if lacking in crucial details. It should be noted that while Auxesia is not named as a hostile military by the Republic of Liberty, they are considered a foreign military entity, and must abide by all the laws and restrictions that entails - including being restricted in their travels into Republic space without prior approval from Navy officials.

If you could elucidate us on further details of this incident, perhaps with video logs or other scans, that would be enlightening as to the situation at hand. If the other forces, including the Navy's Long Island, managed to capture scans, those would be interesting as well. In the meantime, I'll leave handling both the finer diplomatic details and whatever repercussions your...unannounced visit to Libertonian space, and subsequent violation of the Manhattan Defense Grid, to the Navy and Police officials who should be responding shortly. Your intelligence, however, might go a long way toward understanding how they managed to penetrate the otherwise impregnable defense grid.
