i have had a small server running on a win 10 running and everything is just fine i decided to move the server to a win 8.1 computer that has just a fresh install of win 8.1 on it. i have placed all the needed support files like the Net framework and the mscr*.dll i have got all the programs to run the mod the PlayerCrtl and the FLHook. ibut when it comes to the DSAM it wants to continue to tell me it can not locate the MulityPlayer dir. i have tried reloading everything i even tried to use the X86 and the 64 of DSAM. the system is a 64 both have the same results. i even tried a newer SQwhat ever Lite for the 4.0 Net Framework which is resident on the Win 8.1. i have done every step that was done on the Win 10 machine and the Win 8.1 machine it is not working. the reason for the change over is my main desktop has so many things running 24/7 on it i need the resources for other programs.
those are all directed to the needed locations double and triple checked. even checked the dir properties for the permissions to make sure it was right and starting DSAM in admin mode
Right, and on your new OS, if you go to the Multiplayer directory, you can see folders and player/pob files in it? Just checking in case of the folder is not created yet.
In that case go ingame without DSAM make couple of characters and try again.
If everything is in order as it should, I'm not really sure what might be causing the issue here. I'll leave it to the smarter heads in that case.
had a test char made when i first started the new server and the dir is populated. i tried alot of the suggestions with in the forum. i even loaded the dir with a back up copy from the other server to see it there would be any change
i think i have trired every form of twweking and what not and i still can not get the DSAM past the ability to find the MP accounts i have char in the MP account the path is correct but it still throwing me that error. 1 point of interest is that it is placing files in the account folder but can not see the MP folder. amybody at alll well versed in the or has had this error and know how to fix it. it would be great to get som insite
