To all members of the Bretonian Armed Forces, the Admiralty, represented by myself on this occasion, has streamlined operations within the icy parts of Bretonia under a single overreaching operational command.
The Ice Queen Campaign consists of the following operations past and present, all with one goal in mind, the removal of Gallia from the theater which this campaign oversees. Edinburgh, Orkney, Roussillon, Tau-31 (including Tau-23), Newcastle, Manchester, Magellan, Cortez and California. Systems, as the name sake suggests, that contain large parts of the Barrier ice field. The systems of Baffin, Coronado and Tau-29, while potentially involved, are not considered likely operational hot-spots.
Principle forces involved are those of Battleship Ark Royal and Battleship Harlow, with all other assets engaged in New London or occupied defending our southern borders.
Operations within Leeds, New London, Dublin, Omega-49, Poole, Cambridge and Omega-3 are not included within this campaign.
Operation Vanguard Operation Command:
Liberty Navy Goal:
To secure the destruction of the blockading Battlegroup Betheny, located within Cortez. Operation overview:
Conducting a three pronged attack on the Betheny, with the Alma coming in from California, the Yukon moving from Curacau orbit and the Harlow arriving from Manchester. BAF participation:
The entirety of Battleship Harlow under Admiral Michelle O'Brien moved from Manchester to take part, long range support role. Status: Completed with Betheny destroyed at the cost of the Yukon.
Operation Ice Lance Operation Command:
Crayter Republic Goal:
To capture or destroy New Tours in Tau-31, and block the trade lanes to disrupt Gallic supply to the front. Operation overview:
Crayter, in unison with the Gaians, Maquis, Council and limited elements of the Ark Royal fleet, are to conduct an artery severing strike in Tau-31. Either resulting in drawing resources away from the front to repel the attack, or a completely sealed supply route. BAF participation:
Highly limited, mobile assets in unison with strike craft and light capital ships from the Ark Royal under Admiral Paul McKinley. Crayter forces to form the bulk of the operation. Status: Operation completed with success. New Tours has been captured, Holman unfortunately remains in IMG hands, though free of Gallic influence.
Operation Link Operation Command:
BAF Goal:
To secure a connection to Newcastle and supply the Ark Royal, increasing operational effectiveness. Operation overview:
Work with Ageira to redirect an existing gate to Newcastle, reconnecting the system. BAF participation:
Securing the gates for re-direction work to proceed. Status: Conducting overtures to relevant parties.
Operation Bismarck (Temporary name) Operation Command:
BAF Goal:
To secure the destruction of the evasive Battleship Embrun, now located within Newcastle. Operation overview:
Following the destruction of Birmingham and Belfast by the Embrun, the ship and its escorts have gone to ground in Newcastle. The Ark Royal is to conduct reconnaissance in order to find and sink the Embrun. Other movements such as Operation Ice Lance for example may cause the Embrun to take action, in which case the Ark Royal is to intercept and engage the Embrun. BAF participation:
Ark Royal under Admiral Paul McKinley on look out for Embrun movements, to engage and destroy when able. Status: Planning stages.
Operation 'Casting Rocks Operation Command:
Nation of Malta Goal:
To damage Gallic operations in Tau-23, draw resources away from the front and secure a supply of raw material for the war effort. Operation overview:
With the emptying of Tau-23 of serious Gallic forces, in unison with Maltese forces who are opposed to Gallia, the admiralty seeks to damage Gallia in Tau-23, denying it of raw materials and forcing it to increase security to the detriment of other fronts. Niobium is to be secured and transported to Bretonia, with supplies brought back to anti-Gallia forces to increase their operational effectiveness. BAF participation:
Merchant Navy and Escorts. Status: Ready for implementation.
Operation Lasting Legacy Operation Command:
BAF Goal:
Liberation of Planet Harris Operation overview:
With the success of Ice Lance, Planet Harris is open for liberation. While the Crayter forces are our allies, there is no guarantee they will not take the planet for themselves, setting up future conflict. It is imperative that Bretonia regains control of the planet now that the system is mostly in friendly hands. Should Crayter make it to the planet first, maximum pressure and diplomatic effort must be applied to retain control of the planet for Bretonia, regardless of how far the planet is behind enemy lines, beyond Leeds. BAF participation:
Fleet undetermined, troops transported from New London Status: Immediate need for implementation.
Further operations, when they arise, will be added in future.
