Meallan Dagon,

Greetings from the BAF Admiralty.

Straight to the point. You have a very good reputation among the Admiralty for your technical skills. With Aland shipyard moving into full capacity shortly, we have need of them. I am told I can trust you, and as such I will speak without secrecy.

We wish to appoint you as Lead Production Engineer on Aland shipyard, your job is to get the shipyard making as many combat ships, and repairing as many damaged or wrecked ships into working order, in as short a time frame as is humanly possible, no not humanly possible, as is inhumanely possible. The war is steadily reaching the crescendo, and we need every damned boat we can build or salvage. On salvage, we lost a Kirk, the Killarn, in the assault that you can potentially drag into the upgraded docks.

Additionally, a new design is already being analysed shipyard side which you will be briefed on, if you think it is possible to get it out before Charlie comes knocking on our front door, then get it done.

This job is also not short term, we will need to rebuild once the war is over, and I have a sinking feeling that we will be short on large assets once the final engagement has finished. The Dunkirk was, no is a fine battleship, but fighting the Valor in close combat as we have been forced to, has showed its weakness. We need to push a heavier class of ship for our fleets, and that is the Invincible design. I wish for you to create a new Dreadnought class based on the Invincible Carrier design we have, one that can be outfitted as either a super carrier as per the Warwick prototype, or as a line breaking bruiser that can destroy Valors toe to toe, just in case we have a 2nd round with the frogs, perhaps to take back lost land.

The Admiralty will pay you for your services, name your price, and name your bank account and the funds will be transferred.

Regards,

Commodore John Redmond

Morning, Commodore.

Don't mind the getup and the poor signal, I'm in the crevasse of the dodgy end of town finishing up an old lady. After reading your comm twice, not only to make sure you are serious but also to count how many medals you have there, I contacted my kin and they convinced me to say yes. That and the prospect of building and designing a dread.

Don't need to fuss much about pay, your standard will be enough. I do want personal personal quarters with my very own workshop though. However, I got to ask. You do know I was Legion, right? A new set of IDs would prevent any undue political hassle falling on your lap. I'll finish up the current project and I'll hitch a ride to Freeport One. Guess your boys can handle the shady aspect from there on out on how to get me in Aland without having a spotlight shinning on my pretty blue eyes.

As for the rest, teams, budgets, security, logistics, objectives, we can talk in person, if that's alright with you.

Regards,

Dagon.

Meallan Dagon,

I don't care who you were, only who you are, and who is willing to vouch for your reliability. You are without affiliation as far as I am concerned, any skeletons in your closet will be handled by the relevant organisations, if you follow me.

If anything your current status only stands in your favour. And your background provides us with exactly the right skill set. Making do with little, making it work.

Make this work, and you'll have a nice retirement plan.

Speaking of payment, a down payment will be sent once I track down your accounts. The rest of your requirements are no issue. Let me know if you have any issues that need resolving.

P.S, feel free to count my medals in person when you complete your work.

Regards,

Commodore John Redmond

Hello, Commodore.

In my line of work, there's no retirement, because if you're bad, you'll never get a job. If you're good, you'll never stop working. And I am very good. After our initial conversation, I double-checked the status of my current project. If the patrons show up on time, I'll be leaving in eighteen hours, with some very gracious gifts.

So, sorry for being late in showing up for the war, but I'll make the best out of what's left.

Regards,

Dagon.
