Mister Holliday,
Thank you for your response to my broadcast. I am grateful that you have invested time to listen to it carefully and sent a meaningful response. Even though you are a wanted person in Bretonia, we are aware that you are also the rallying cause of some resistance cells on Planet Sydney, so I will invest some of my time, too, instead of my secretaries', to send you a (hopefully) meaningful response.
First and foremost, the Kingdom of Bretonia will not be abandoning Planet Sydney and that is entirely out of the question, and not up to me at all whatsoever. If I vouch for that in the parliament, then I will simply be replaced with a different governor, perhaps one less willing to cooperate with you. Likewise, I believe that, if I send a team to harm your person, and if they succeed, then you will be made a martyr in the eyes of the resistance, which could further prolong the Troubles.
I can inform you that, if everything develops according to my plans, a census will be performed across the planet, when the system has been pacified, that will allow anyone who wills to identify as a Zoner, which will be an entirely legitimate nationality choice with full minority rights. After this, the provisional government could charter a piece of land proportional to the determined size of the Zoner population in comparison with the population of others at the time, which will be a constituent of the United Kingdom of Bretonia, but will have internal autonomy, and an election among the Zoner population will be held to determine its leaders. Anyone, including Zoners, will be free to move and live there, and the same goes for the other part of the planet, that will remain in direct Bretonian government control. Mind you, this is only an initial concept of mine, and can be negotiated.
I have not presented this concept before the Parliament yet. However, if you would like to help me develop and establish it, then I will vouch for your pardon in the Parliament.
By the way, my mother (who is my entire family now) was not treated by you during the Corsair bombing of Sydney in 820. Our house was indeed destroyed by a shock wave, but we were safe in the basement at the time and it was the construction team that saved us from the rubble. However, I am grateful that you treated some of our neighbours and helped them recover, and I do not forget a good doctor's work, even if the political events neither of us control send him to the other side of the law.
On the other side, if you choose not to work with me, I am afraid that there will be yet more blood in the guerilla with the resistance. Bretonian refugees from Leeds now vastly overpopulate any possible resistance supporters, which means that the resistance lacks popular support. I am aware that you are not a military expert, but it does not take one to realize that a resistance without popular support is a doomed one. If you choose not to work with me on this concept of mine, then the ultimate reality for the Zoners of Sydney will very likely be much harsher. However, at least you doctors will be able to make a good profit, if you charge every bandage.
You do not have to make a choice, nor a response to me. But, it is your people that depend on it, and not mine.

You speak with much professionalism. I do not see a lot of that from Bretonian officials. It is that reason that I am willing to speak with you.
Let us get one fact clear, I have never charged for nor will I ever charge for medical services. Everything we use, everything we consume is either produced by Med Force Enterprises on Med Force One biodomes, produced in one of our many labs or I go out in my trade ship and buy it. We are getting closer to full, self independence.
And of course I know Bretonia will not leave Gran Canaria. While I have found some respect for you, your Queen is someone I dislike. Her pride will never let her leave it.
But, for the sake of the Zoner people, I think you and I have something to discuss. Since it seems that putting our differences aside and working together is one of mutual benefit, I have an old office in Canaria Medical that we can meet in. It is quite safe. Unless of course, you have a more desirable location? I find that breaking bread and some beverage makes for a good conversation.

Mister Holliday,
Thank you for not being a difficult person to work with. BPA Commissioner John Steiner has just authorized this meeting. However, I will not come to you as a guest. Excuse me if I do not trust you, yet, but I have been informed that the last person who did that was killed by a nuclear bomb. Instead, you will meet me at the BAF headquarters on the planet. If your BPA escorts have trouble finding the Chateau d'Or, I hope you know where it is? A Zoner tycoon used to call it his palace.
