This is something i've been thinking for some time already, but never could be bothered to argue about it in forums...
I noticed, as much other people probably as well, that most House corporations have ID lines allowing them to engage in piracy towards targets considered hostile by the corporation or the House they belong to, even target other corporations belonging to the same House with direct market competition outside their Zone of Influence, which has sense cause most House corporations are shady and corrupt in some way.
Aren't those characteristics more of a quasi-lawful ID than a lawful ID? Intel IDs from all Houses have more or less that sort of permissions regarding hostile entities outside their House zone of influence, and Junkers also can pirate outisde House space and inside Kusari, both intel agencies and Junkers are considered quasi-lawful entities because of this.
I've been thinking that wouldn't be much of a far fetched idea to actually allow those House corporations to fulfill a role similar to the Bretonian Privateers, while using some sort of House Privateer IFF, and also to consider House corporative IDs with piracy lines to be quasi-lawful by rules and unlawful inrp depending of the context, while using said IFF.
That way, all houses could get that sort of selective piracy roleplay and also offers House corporations more tasks other than simply being used to powertrade or to collect bounties that Freelancers and Bounty Hunters can fulfill already.
I would like to know everyone's opinion about this.
