At least be honest here. "Jump Trading is about making maximum profit whilst avoiding interaction conflict."
Jump trading requires interaction among players, just attempting to avoid interaction with players that want to shoot at you. Ignoring the fact that there are multiple players involved in a jump is disingenuous at a minimum; Sort of like the fact that you ignored the historical reasons that brought on the current limitations.
Most of the historical caps with cloaks got them because the POB crews during the Jump Trading era were making cross sector jumps for supplies; not for direct profits, for supplies for their bases.
If you must couch this is in terms of "interaction", Jump Trading was driven by Player Interaction for POB specific products.
I'm really sick of the bias of this community against non-hostile / non-opposed factions interaction. A closed COOP-like interaction between 2 people jump trading is still ... guess what .... yeah that's right, interaction!
And it's not like you can't stop jumpers trading, I mean they still need to actually dock to a station and then jump, during which they can be interrupted... Sure you can't stop them if they don't trade between stations that are in your ZoI but that's life, why would anyone ignore logical advantage of jump drives?
In fact I stand to reason that Discovery would be much better off with some more actual COOP (PVE) content, and correct me if I'm wrong but the Devs seem to be making some movement in that direction.
