Commodore Edwards, this is Captain Hawkins of the Unto Nightfall.

I relayed yesterday's negotiations to my superiors and recommended they accept the terms you presented. The following are the terms they are willing to accept.

• Intelligence gathered by Section 8 units on Auxesian forces, movements, and relations will be filtered and forwarded to Commodore Christopher Edwards, Fifth Fleet, on a secure channel.
  
• Intelligence gathered by the LNS Akhetaten on Nomad forces, movements, and relations within Libertonian space and other relevant systems will be forwarded to Captain Catherine Hawkins, Section 8, on a secure channel.
  
• Section 8 units will assist the LNS Akhetaten in combat against Auxesian and Nomad forces as well as in other emergencies where discretion can be maintained.
  
• The LNS Akhetaten will assist Section 8 units in combat against Auxesian and Nomad forces as well as in other emergencies where discretion can be maintained.
  

I hope these terms are agreeable to you, Commodore. I also am to inform you that my superiors are interested in expanding cooperation between Section 8 and Fifth Fleet assets in the future.

I apologize for the delay following my response, the reason for it being, as I mentioned in space, that I too have people above me who I need to report to. The Fifth's Admiralty was informed of the terms your superiors are willing to accept and it seems that the first impression wasn't a negative one.

Getting into the subject at hand, I am afraid I'm not in the position to agree with those terms as the Unto Nightfall as well as the Section 8 remain unknown to the Fifth Fleet. Upon informing Fleet Admiral Cleveland of various past interactions we have had with you and as well as your interest in cooperating with us, the Admiral would appreciate a meeting with the Unto Nightfall.

I hope you are interested in this proposal and that you are still operating in the same regions you were last time, as the place I had in mind is close-by. Should you agree to the meeting, I will inform you of a more specific location and time over a secure channel.

Firstly, I would like to thank you on behalf of Section 8 as well as my own for making today's meeting with the fleet admiral possible. I hope this will be the start of a successful relationship between the Fifth Fleet and the Section.

Next, for the ships currently assigned to the our task force:

• Vigil-3
  

The Unto Nightfall herself will not enter Libertonian space at this time; operations within the Republic's borders will be conducted by Vigil-1 and -3. Should additional units be assigned to the task force, I will inform you at the earliest convenience.
