Fleet Admiral Redmond,

I don't believe we have formally met, my name is Dr. Leopold King, Inspector General for the Bretonian Secret Service. We may have an issue.

Prime Minister Hall inquired about the Tau situation at my office earlier today, and after a brief search thorough our databases, it appears she was not briefed about that situation, a claim supported by her calendar, received messages involving unopened ones, and several devices she is unaware of.

This implies a major breach of our internal security, or someone deliberately set up an arrangement where Ms. Hall could deny everything. My office is too stretched thin to investigate more than one possibility at a time, and I have chosen to investigate the probability of security issues.

Admiral, I will need your help to get a hold of Mr. Templer, before he meets Ms. Hall on Cambridge next week. I wouldn't mind if Mr. Templer also given a detailed description of his memories regarding the subject too, to see how Ms. Hall's statement holds up, should my office dismiss the possibility of gross incompetence from our part.

Bretonian Secret Service? Is this some sort of wing of the Bretonian Intelligence Service? Or a personal bodyguard to the Prime Minister?

I suppose the horrific bombing of New London left gaps, and we are making all sorts of new organizations, I would not know as I spend little time on that dreary planet.

To be perfectly honest I have no idea what Mr. Templer has spoken to Prime Minister Hall, I received my orders to strangle the life out of any Royalist Gaul found within Tau, and also to monitor the undercooked fish eaters to make sure they do not try something against our Synth friends (patrons?) on Harris.

As for the denial of Madam Hall, frankly it does not surprise me in the slightest, her time in the Armed Forces was spent playing political games on Exeter with the Coalition renegades at the express permission of the previous Fleet Admiral, so she is quite shrewd. But this is all speculation, so I leave it up to you to make your conclusions.
