too bad it does not really let us do that.

what would make me happy: being able to use arrow keys in turret veiw to move the ship. not the veiw

...I still find that one of the best ways to move a capship in turret view is to be formed up with a fighter...

although, it sucks.

How to turn your ship in turret view 101:

Place a waypoint behind you.
Click goto.
Disengage cruise.
Fight on as your ship turns.

Open up Nav Map and Obscure your view
Place a waypoint behind you.
<strike>Click goto.</strike> Press F2, Since clicking Goto in turret mode will have your view fly upwards
Disengage cruise.
Fight on as your ship turns once.
Repeat when you find that you need to turn your ship again

The fult tilt cam is a usefull idea for those cap ships with forwards guns who would like to get some regular turret rounds into thier opponent before the main gun comes into line.
Aslo lets the smaller cap ships manouver about a bit better if facing thier larger counterparts and want to do some better dodging and shooting.
I can imagine there will be quite a few people who would like to fly thier ship like that. And probably some that wont like it. If it could be toggleable like turret mode that would be ace. But I cant imagine that it would be possible.

You make the waypoint before the fight.
F2, clicking goto, same thing. I've yet to have my view go upwards.
Simply click an object behind you and hit goto to turn again, or just repeat, or don't.
Even one turn is better than no turn when you need it in a fight.
