They must be joking: when I joined the 5th Fleet I was put on probation, like I was some rookie fresh out of the academy. I was only trained in basic fighter pilot skills, and now I have to suffer in this coffin with the engines until some drunken Rogue or a deranged Xenos shoots me during a patrol.
I didn't last a couple of minutes against the another pilot from the fleet in the virtual simulation, and that's an indicator of how bad situation is. I belong on a cruiser's bridge, not in a pilot's chair, and the Secondary Fleet Command's recommendations are clear on that, so I don't understand the reasons for this decision, but it's no use arguing - it's better to survive this damn cadet probation until I get my LNSF rank back, and I'm sure they'll get it back. They can't make me climb the ladder from scratch... Or can they?
