The Disco Help channel is a Skype chat room that is here to provide answers to any and all of your Discovery Mod and Discovery Community related questions. Additionally it allows new players to meet veterans of the Discovery Community that can provide ideas, recommendations, introductions and other forms of support.
If you have a question or just want to stop by and have a look you can use this link or add tazuras to your skype contacts and send me a message and I will add you (I have been told the link does not work with the latest version of Skype but if you click on it more than once it may). Also, if you add me to add you to the help channel, please include this in the introductory message so I know who are and dont think you are simply some bot or something.
If you need to get Skype you can find the latest version here.
And If you dont want to take my word on the usefulness of this chat then you can read what this member had to say:
' Wrote:[A testimonial of sorts for something brilliant that needs some publicity]
As a neophyte to this particular forum, I undertook the daunting task of attempting to fit into it all and figure it out by myself. Needless to say, or perhaps I already said it, this was indeed a daunting task.
Luckily for me, some official-looking fellow posted on my introduction thread and pointed me to something brilliant of his own creation - the Skype Discovery Assistance Channel. I was actually rather surprised to find so few people actually using it, as it was a rather good idea, I found. They helped me with my problems that I had. Which were, namely, the facts that Freelancer wouldn't work and I didn't know anything at all about Discovery.
Both were soon remedied, and I started playing the game.
At this point, many other questions raised themselves, and I'm afraid that I kept the lot of the fellow in the help channel on their toes asking what must have seemed like silly questions about the game. Through it all, though, I learned a lot about the game, how it works, how to play, and what it is like. I've also interfaced into the community, or a small part of it, at least, through the channel. You can see that I haven't posted on the forums an incredible amount - but despite this, I've already found my place (or what seems like it) here and I'm quite comfortably settled at the moment, except for this hiatus I'm supposed to be on at the moment...
Curse incidental wireless.
But, as closing remarks:
This channel is almost a must-join for any new member to this community.
This channel can help you meet people without using the forums.
The people in this channel are very knowledgeable and can solve most of your "wut can tehy actualy do tat?" questions with ease. Or at least mine, I'm sure yours will look much more intelligent than that.
This channel can also waste your time in a most satisfactory way.
